Birmingham council and bgfl network Down

We are having the same problem. -
All done, good luck!

We installed the adfs role on a member server in the end. Very strange
-
I did reboot after the ADFS role was installed, so shouldn't be an issue. Strange one isn't it!

Hello all, Hopefully someone here can help with this annoying issue I'm experiencing! I am setting up ADFS on a domain controller, running Server 2012 R2; I am getting an error during running the Active Directory Federation Services Configuration Wizard. The error is "The target computer is not joined to a domain. Only machines that are joined to a domain can be members of a AD FS farm" The server is definitely joined to the domain as it's a domain controller, with no replication issues. I am logged on as a domain administrator, not a local account. Ran all the latest windows updates. Any one got any ideas?

I was also happy when I got this email! Will make BYOD a hell of a lot easier! -
Most likely a security thing, tried adding the site to trusted sites?

We don't allow either staff or students to reset their passwords from within Office 365, they either need to change it on a computer or we can change it for them in AD. We initially allowed it until we got a load of "I have changed my email password but now cannot login to a computer" type questions.

We had the same thing happen, luckily the student didn't do anything malicious! We've disabled sticky keys and got a script running on start up to check the file size of sethc.exe as per the attached post. I believe we also disabled start up repair.

Has anyone seen the S6 preview yet? First time another phone has made me consider finally moving away from Apple...

I would first check event viewer on a machine that is taking a long time to login for profile or group policy issues. What did you do to 'lower the cpu' on your fileserver?
-
No worries, glad I could help!

Have you assigned the SharePoint license to that user?
-
Check whether the directory, windows\temp exists on the OS installed drive and you have sufficient access right to create file in it. If you don't then make sure you are using an account with admin privileges. I hope it works.

Have logged a ticket with Future Digital and hopefully they get back to me on Monday. We're hoping to move away from Policy Central in April to Impero, so hopefully no more headaches then!

Maybe it's time to replace.... We recently moved away from a managed Netgear system (which constantly had problems like what you said above) to Unifi. Since moving we've had no issues at all and it wasn't too expensive either.

Hello all, I hope someone here can help with this really weird problem we have! Since the start of the week when people go to the Google website, the browser stops responding and closes. This happens in both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. I have not altered anything in group policy or deployed any software that would of added toolbars etc (which was my initial thoughts) If students/ staff go to an other website, the browser is fine. Anyone got any ideas?

If you delete a printer, they will come back into Papercut once a print job has been sent to the printer.

We use Policy Central here at the moment, but are considering moving to Impero in the new financial year. From the conversation I had on the phone with Impero it seems they have developed an app which allows it to be managed by the console.
