I'm still stuck on this, has anyone else encountered it or fond a solution? Io tried forcing it to book to the desktop, which again only seemed to effcet admin users. Its as if the desktop just doesn't exist on non admin profiles. all the windows shortcuts etc don't open anything. That is, until I open a windows desktop app. Then things like winkey + d start working.

With the higher mileage cars, do you do any work yourself? The main thing that puts me off high milers is if that something goes wrong, I'm out a car and the money to fix it. any worn parts I'd have to pay to be fixed rather than do myself.

Its win win. If it sinks, no refunds, just claim its all part of the authentic experiance

Some newer cars don't actually need yearly servicing anymore. The onboard computer can tell from the driving being done and adjust accordingly. My saab had a silly key turn system. It needed a service every x amount of timers the ignition was turned on. The idea being more keys in a short space of time is shorter more damaging trips etc. BMW's have a more complex system for donkeys years now, and I think it's filtered down now to the likes of ford, that actually takes into account engine rpm's and break wear etc. Both my mini's had it, and the merc did too. It was awesome. The saabs system not so much.

to be fair, if its been listed for that long and not sold, there's probably a reason. Its either overpriced, or something is very wrong.

Y'know, instead of financing the car you could get a bank loan? The rates can be far far better. It certainly was for me, £5k loan instead of £5k car finance was almost a grand cheeper over the 5 years. Less early repayment fees too. wewantanycar (I've used em 3 times, got a better deal every time by not having a trade in) the clio, get a bank loan, turn up to a dealer with £8k in cash.

Tax is almost a mute point tbh, yes an older car is more expensive to run, but it'd take years to ever pay off the difference in purchase costs. Buying a new car to save money is like invading a country in the name of peace

cars are my thing too, but watching one drop 20% of its value in the drive off the forecourt is just agony. I could afford a new JCW or a new Focus ST if I wanted, but I can't justify never owning it or the loss of value. Then again, I've always been averse to fiance, don't even like paying my car insurance monthly if I can avoid it ^^

If you were thinking of pcp did you have a deposit? Maybee use just that to buy a car and avoid financing? If i was going to pcp a car I'd do it on something newer than a 61, or at least something that still has manufacturer warranty. Might not have the bells and whistles, but could help keep the costs down while trying to get that deposit. At the end of the day you know the issues on your current car, a new car could have different issues, so if your going to get stuck with it, and go the finance route, make sure its new enough to be worth it.

Been out for a while but jumped back in, mooching around the t6 mark as I play in my hellkitty in between grinding my T1 heavy and flailing about in my cromwell. Not much seems to of changed in my 6 months out, other than those OI thingies. Got bored of my IS3. Hated the inaccuracy of the gun, wasted a lot of time on that tree.

Finally nailed Fo4, or at least the main story, time to take a break, then mod like hell and play it again With more boobies ofc and skimpier armour with somehow higher stats ^^ Back on the WoT pain train now >.<

I'd say leave off anything like pcp if your saving for a deposit. You'll be paying off the lump sum or getting the next finance agreement right when you'd want to be getting a mortgage

My worry about things like those teslas is the amasing touchscreen setup in the cockpit. Yes its amasing now, but what'll it be like in 5-10 years. In fact I have the same worries about any car. Just how well will those infotainment devices hold up? And how much of a distraction do they bring to driving. I like my big knobs (heh) with lots of tactile feedback so I can change the settings without taking my eyes off the road. A touchscreen doesn't have that. In fact, when it comes to cars I'm the exact opposite of all other gadgets. I want less technology, not more. Give me a volume up and down, radio station select/aux select, and a knob for the heating.

Rocking a focus st 225 atm. One nice noise, but not quiet enough go Dream car would be another evo, a nice unmolested evo 8 fq 320. Though I'm not sure if i could be bothered with having to hunt for premium fuel all the time. That got old fast when the only local was a shell.

Over winter, with all the computers turned off, the issue didn't happen. We were all ready to remote in on both Wednesdays but everything remained up. For the first 2 weeks of the new term it also remained stable, but then in the third week it went down again, albeit after school this time, so at least its less disruptive now. Wondering if there's something somewhere not on the cluster itself causing an overload or spike in traffic that confuses everything

Tie wrap everything. Stop keyboards and mice being nicked at least. Makes cables harder to unplug and run off with. Add the little screw to every PC case that prevents it being opened without a screwdrivers. The rest is, sadly, classroom control, and CCTV so you can bill the ones who get caught.

If you have a full working set, why not sell them? One mans trash etc

It is in the redirected start menu. Thats gpo wasn't configured but I've now set it to disabled, no joy though. Could another GPO be removing the shortcuts? I'm at my wits end as to why it applies fully on an admin, but those 3 shortcuts aren't there on a regular user. Why those 3, why do the rest apply and not them, why do you torment me windows 8 why >.< Could it be related to the fact we use roaming desktops? so c:\username\desktop\ wouldn't actually exist? What would i need to point the xml at to pick up a roaming desktop?

Hi Folks, I have a start menu xml being deployed to some windows 8 tablets and have run into an issue. It won't apply fully to all users. Domain admins pick it up fully, but non admins get most of it but miss out the desktop, windows explorer, bing weather and control panel shortcuts. I can't see any error in the xml or any item level targeting - the GPO is pointed at all users. Has anyone run into this befor or found a solution/can see any errors in the xml?

Did you have time to test any particular fix, or did you just throw em all at the wall to see what sticks?

Hi Folks, We're having a similar issue to this. that started around a year ago, but hasn't been consistent. At first, every Friday the network would fail at 1445. A network card was replaced which, well, didn't do much. It was faulty, but dell initially replaced it with the wrong one. We then spent the best part of a year, troubleshooting with dell. For a while the network wouldn't outright fall over, it performance just wasn't quiet there. Then recently, its started failing, every Wednesday, like clockwork at 10 past 1 Shares all become inaccessible, and most (but not all) of the servers on our cluster become unreachable though remote desktop. However, we can get into the cluster and physical servers, and from there hyper v into the virtual servers, where they all report... that there is nothing wrong and are perfectly healthy. From what we can see there are no scheduled tasks running, no backups running at that time, no network ports fail the switches are fine. Our DC's are outside the cluster and work perfectly fine, so users can login, they just can't access their files or desktop. Other than being unable to access some servers by remote desktop, and that shares are offline, every service other than sims and the print server still work (insight and impero for example still work, even with the servers inaccessible) A simple restart fixes the issue Does this sound related to the issues you've been facing?
