This didn't fix it in the end, but we've found out what the error was for us anyway. Turned out we had a dns replication issue. Fixed that and it hasn't happened since We noticed completely by accident while we couldn't get to the servers by name we could get in via their IP how the many experts we paid many money to didn't notice this either i have no idea XD

Having some fun with our solus 3 deployment. Finally got some semblance of it working by abandoning its own deployment and pushing the bat file with specops I've nearly got our solus 3 deployment working. But we want to hide the taskbar icon. Has anyone had any success with that? a registry hack would do. We don't want to outright hide the notification area as was suggested by schools ICT as we have some icons in there that we actually do need.

afaik kids weren't really allowed to use it. Its a bit like learning to drive, there's an age limit, and just because your above the limit doesn't mean you can do it well. Ron lost a bit of his ear doing it as i recall

Saw fantastic beasts. Awesome movie, great to see that universe and some actual decent magic happening. actually made you think magic is awesome, rather than wait a mo, we can do this easier without magic

Need to buy myself new taps for the bathroom. Anyone have any recommendations for not expensive but not total carp either? everything seems to be a shop specific re brand of something else so finding what'll actually last and break in 2 years like our existing ones have is a pain. I don't mind spending £100 ish I think I have these at the moment. But bought off ebay rather than victoria plumbing. Not sure if mine are a knock off though and these are a real deal, but can't find anything on who neo taps are or where they're made.

Saw The legend of Tarzan on DVD worst plot ever Seriously, all the actors themselves were good, well cast, and acted well. But the story, the plot just never got going.

This is a driver I installed manually as its not there in the deployment, the standard windows one works, so one was never put in, but it's WoL is patchy at best.
-
Thats what i'm trying to do, but i need to delete the old driver first
-
I'm trying to get a bit more specific with the driver so I can deploy only whats needed and not 200+ mb of other languages etc. Normally its a piece of cake to do but without that little checkbox its turning into a sod ^^
-
Am I just being a Muppet, or has the permanently delete a driver option vanished from device manager? I need to remove a driver to test another one and the old one keeps re-installing before I get the chance >.<

I guess the question is what software do you use? We have a good IT and DT dept who use a lot of software that's windows only. If you don't, and all your school uses is powerpoint and word, you might be able to get away with it.

Java Flash Anything reliant on the above

did anyone have any luck with this? I'm trying to achieve the exact same thing

We like to have both as the option, we've had times when google has gone down with swgfl, plus it can break other things so i'm told. If I can force the safe search it seems just as safe as google, its just that that safe search isn't there by default, or is pretty low.

Does anyone use this? Bing is beyond whacky today and getting some pretty unsafe results with its safesearch set to moderate. Ive added some extra filters to our Impero which is blocking some of the results (kinda surprised they weren't blocked by default) but mature is kinda a legit word. Normally. Safe search blocks the results as we'd like anyway so I'd like to get that pushed to everyone. Chrome gives an error message and IE just doesn't load anything. Is this just at bings end or does strict.bing not actually work? Our services aren't available right nowWe're working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon. Its okay, It wasn't actually chrome that's the problem, it's all flash. And it just seems that they don't support the latest version. At least for go science. But then afaik its nigh on 8 years old

Does anyone know of any good preferably free online cyber security training courses. I've had a weird report from a user that's almost certainly some kind of user error at this point, but in the case that it wasn't I realize I wouldn't actually know where to start looking to investigate any potential malicious outside access to the system. In this case she's claiming that someone was able to take control of her pc when she opened Microsoft remote desktop on her mac while trying to connect to our terminal server.

Saw that too recently. My favourite Marvel film for a while. Probably as far back as the original avengers.

I'll check those out when I get back. It did a 15 min warning shutdown on me last night and did a diskcheck at the time. That seems to of resolved it and I'm back to seeing 100MB+ transfer speeds.
-
looks like I already disabled that at some point.

Anyone had this issue with windows 10 maxing out a HDD's read/write, while not actually ebing close to what the disk should be able to do? Had it on 2 of my windows 10 PC's now. the system drive flies, but the 1TB data drive is sticking at 100% usage and read/write speeds of <1MB. I'd normally throw this out as a failing HDD issue, but its not the first time I've experienced this in windows 10 and I've fixed it on another device by reverting to windows 8 There doesn't appear to be an app running that's maxing the HDD, only that the max of the HDD is seriously low
