  1. A quick look on scan and it seems all 1080ti's are 11GB. It seems like a very good price, its non overclockable components but thats probably not a bad thing. I just tried and struggled to build the same for that same money.
  2. That sounds, pretty awesome actually. I feel like if a lot of this was ready when windows 10 came out, it'd be a lot easier to roll out windows 10. Imagine a school with 1:1 devices, first day all the students need to do is logon. Or a business with BYOD policies. It requires a radical rethink of how we'd deliver IT services, but i can see some potential, although not so much for traditional schools that aren't doing 1:1 hmm I wonder if using this you could do away with the server setup in schools. Onedrive for file storage, this for imaging, a cloud based impero type software. Would the saving in server infrastructure and licencing allow this to pay for itself. this could be the death of more than SCCM
  3. A friend of mine did that and lost 2 stone in something like 6 months, playing for a team in bristol. I was doing really well with my workout for the bristol 10k till i pulled a muscle the week beforhand and am still being advised not to run >.> So bored, and so done with the gym. I need to find a sport i can play that doesn't require skill ^^
  4. I'm gonna disagree with that, I've had 2 chinese bikes now and imo they are worth it. Yes they are cheep and disposable, but I can literally afford 3 for the price of one Japanese bike. I've had a keeyway RKV125 and a herald, as well as a cbr125 and ybf 125. okay the cbr was in a different league to the other 3, but was also 3 times the price. the ybf vs the keeway and herald was no competition. the keeyway was under a half the price and runs just as well (its actually been more reliable than the yamaha was) even if its worthless in 4 years, i'll still of saved over the yamaha which at that point will of still lost more in cash terms. granted over 125cc i'd go for a jap or euro bike, but given 125's are restricted anyway and all get 100mpg plus theres just no point paying the extra money. That said i do really recomend the herald. its a chinese bike that a british company buy in bulk, strip, rebuild with new electrics and sprockets, then sell for £1500. Its the most fun 125 even if it wasn't as fast as the cbr. but then its a 60mph topout vs a 65. Also between me and my wife we have 8 years of bike riding and 2 accidents, both due to oil on the road at night and we walked away from both and finished our rides home because we have decent gear, not even bruised when coming off at 30.
  5. I can't beleave I'm about to buy this, But I'm going to get viscera cleanup detail I can't get my wife to hoover once a week, but she spent 3 hours on this last night >.<
  6. metro redux pack is out for just over 6 quid if that does it for you.
  7. I've played all the games in my steam library and completed 90% of them (the ones that have a completed condition anyway) I try whenever possible not to buy a game till the last one is finished. that said, i think i have a few hours left on beyonetta.
  8. wohoo, just when i'm running out of games
  9. a few mdm's can do it, at was as having parent modes so between x hours its managed by the school, then outside of those parents can manage them from an app, or not bother at all
  10. saw baywatch. I found it genuinly hilarious.
  11. I was recently at a school with 1:1 ipads. There were no real issues that came up as teachers were aware to keep an eye out, and students were only allowed them out with teachers permissions Filtering was site wide and they weren't 3g devices. The school of 1200-1300 was on a 200mb line and bandwidth was not an issue. 3g devices to get around filtering was a bit of an issue with 6th formers, but phones were technically still banned. Will they or the school own the device? What 1:1 solution were you thinking, windows laptops? Chromebooks? Ipads? Only real issue was accidental damage which was covered by insurance.
  12. 5 guys burgers are terrible. its just a tarted up McD's I know they're still a chain, but I freekin love the TGIF burgers. They are the best burgers I've ever had. I'm sat here drooling right now just thinging about one now. damn you >.>
  13. I guess it depends how far you'd take "normal way of working" I'd say it would go so far as to cover word and windows (or apple and pages, whatever your chosen poison is) I wouldn't want a student to come out of an exam then go to his parents, "i didn't do as well as i could of as i had to figure out a new computer system"
  14. I'd be careful as I remember in the exam guidelines it does say the computer given to the user must be familiar to what they use day to day. If all the student computers are windows and office, you shouldn't really be putting them into an exam on a chrome book and google docs
  15. I noticed. genjis and hanzo's everywhere
  16. it looks well priced and specced. almost too good. Why is someone selling such a new rig, that was so expensive, so cheep? Still as long as you can see it working beforhand, and some reciepts, it looks damn good
  17. papercut and strong SLT. Make departments pay for their own printing Best part I found with papercut is making your own scripts pointing out how much it costs to the users and offering to reprint with cheaper settings. That might be expensive though, so access codes for colour, all defaults set to BW. A neat trick I saw was having the same printer listed twice, once for colour once for BW. Just hide the colour from everyone.
  18. Have a friend working in NHS IT, apparently this is europe wide not just nhs. Santandare an O2 also effected And has something to do with a vulnerability in google chrome (unconfirmed), it didn't come in via an email. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/may/12/hospitals-across-england-hit-by-large-scale-cyber-attack
  19. I'd second this, learn manual, i love my slushbox, but a lot of autos are awful (the old ones), or just plain expensive (the actually decent ones). not to mention way worse mpg from all but the newest autos. like double figures worse. plus most bikes 125 or above are manual. but at the end of the day its one of those things where its far easier to have and not need than to need and not have. its not as if the test is any different or costs any less in an auto.
  20. i'd say do car then cbt the cbt is very very basic, and won't teach you all the rules of the road. plus, to mess up in a way to get hurt in a car requires something spectacular messing up on a bike almost always hurts.
  21. Its been a long time since I've laughed so hard at a film. I'd even go so far as to say the plot, what little as it was, kinda spoiled it. make with the explosions and one liners.
  22. I've actually got the PC's in now and they are working really well. Was reading so many windows 10 disaster stories it was putting me right off, but with a few little tweaks to remove some apps and classic shell and so far they work like a charm. A few powershell scripts to remove the non needed apps and removing the windows store and login times are if anything quicker than the windows 7 devices. Now if only the sites internet hadn't thrown a paddy 5 mins after I left they'd be fully finished. But so far its been a good and successful test
  23. Hi Folks, I need to roll out 2 new windows 10 PC's (7th gen processors) to an existing windows 7 school. Upgrading the hole school isn't an option so I'm kinda after the bare minimum to get the workstations going. If I use classic shell will the existing windows start menu redirection work? (its directed to a shared location) I'm guessing redirected folders will work the same as 7, as would mapped drives. Is there anything else I'd need to do? I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel for 2 PC's if I can avoid it.
  24. tbh i think all the papers have gone down the pan lately. The guardians become a bad social justice warrior blog, the mail is almost an alt right blog with a few viral videos thrown in, the inde 9 times out of 10 throws a certificate error...
