Applocker and only allow notepad? Set Gruop policy as you would to restrict user, disable the C drive access, run and powershell commands and redirect the start and desktop menu to notepad only, worked for me in the past!

The board will most definitely be dead! Best bet is to find out who did it and send their parents the bill, they'll love it.

Took me ages to kill the mireleks or whatever they're called, I just kept dying! Best option seemed to running in the walls and hiding in there! I got a bit bored the over night to, so I enabled god mode and built a super treehouse fort in Sanctuary and it is epic. Think I've spent more time creating base camps so far haha

Whatever it was, it felt pointless as I learnt sweet FA!

If it doesn't have a BIOS battery inside, you can ring Dell, provide proof of purchase and they should unlock it for you. Also let this be a lesson learnt, set BIOS passwords!!

Almost all the IT jobs I've applied for have included some practical tests and a small quiz to test your knowledge, because I'll be honest, if you went to my college, you'd see anyone could pass an IT Networking course without knowing a thing. They are good to have, but I've found that experience given by my apprenticeship (after college) really gave me that foot in the door and I value that a lot more than the qualification I earned.

Are they to be viewed outside of school? If not, why not set up a share with them in?

Have you tried the Ricoh App? This is what we use and it seems to work fine.

I'm building a rig for a friend so if you could give me some prices, then yeah!

As Michael said, it's still possible to control them just outside of CC4, but kind of defeats the point of paying all that money for it! If funds are tight, would it not be cheaper to move away from CC4 and go Vanilla?

Windows 10 not allowing logon with account that has no password
NB9457 replied to Joanne's topic in Windows 10
I have had Year 5 kids call me Miss (I'm male btw) and the same class asking me how to turn , then be baffled when I said 'no password' and then basically guide them all through step by step on how to open a web page. If these kids are the future, I'm getting worried. -
I've used domestic screens with no issues. Surely household TVs are designed to be on 8 hours a day and then digital signage more like 24/7?

From what people are saying it seems to be the laptops giving issues, but I've only ever had experience with the desktops and servers.

Thin Clients keep being unplugged
NB9457 replied to manc_techie's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
Firstly it isn't really your issue, the clients are in, they're working and the kids are deliberately doing things to them, poor classroom management. As there's 'nothing the teachers can do'... 1: I'd suggest speaking directly to the teachers, seating plans, kids hate it, but it allows the teacher and yourself to keep track of which pupil uses which machine. 2: Are the rooms locked, staff supervison during clubs and lunches? If not, lock it until thet start respecting the kit. 3: Is it possible to move the clients to a more awkward position? Bolted under a desk or on the back of a monitor? 4: You could always buy lockable under or desk mounted cages, but these aren't really that cheap. -
Last on current job I've been at, everyhwere runs on Fujitsu servers reliably, couldn't comment on their server support as it hasn't been needed, but maybe that's saying something there? As for desktops, my last school use to run them everywhere until RM took over and started putting in their kit. Put it this way, the Pentium D and Pentium 4 Fujitsus went on to outlive their RM Core2Duo counterparts. Even on the old P4s, until they retire, drivers were easy to get they ran reliably, although a little slow on Windows 7, sent out via MDT. I'e heard they've had a bad rep in the past, but having looked after 300+ fujitsu machines and only replacing the odd HDD, I must say, I'd be confident in buying any kit from them.

\\SERVER\NETLOGON\bginfo.exe \\SERVER\\NETLOGON\bginfo.bgi /timer:0 /NOLICPROMPT /SILENT That's how I used to have it setup.

These are good as their sole design is to clean out PCs and they're meant to be antistatic, a friend uses one and there's many good reviews: NEW Metro Vacuum MDV 1BA Datavac PRO 4 5 AMP Computer VAC Blower Cleaner | eBay Or where I work we use this: Mini Airbrush Compressor With Tank AS186 (Oil-free) | eBay

The Fanatec gear is unreal, comes with a price tag though, but it would make the ultimate drift setup!

Good chance, was it brand new? I'll be honest, they're that old now I didn't know they still sold them!
