Hudl Hudl Hudl! Having used one and kept my sanity, I'd say it's one of, if not, the best budget android tablet around. Good screen, intel CPU and good build quality.

Not bad for the money but I've had one in the past as a stop gap, didn't quite fit it for me, but I am young and thus listen to music at stupid volumes and at higher volume is when you need better quality. If it's for background noise and easy listening, pioneer do some great budget units now, £80 I think including DAB, but it is deckless.

Maybe a good single din unit then? My last unit (before it got stolen) was a Kenwood BT60, again much better sound quality with the stock speakers, loads of EQ settings, including graphic, decent screen, BT streaming, rear USB, was a good radio and I'd have that over a screen any day! Was around £140 new

I splashed out and bought the Pioneer SPH-DA120 App Radio, touch screen and display are brilliant and the sound quality with stock speakers massively improved. It was pricey, but seeing as I spend at least 3 hours a day in the car, it proved a good buy. Brilliant for watching things at dinner too!

Has anyone her had much experience with PDQ Deploy? I've been using the free version for sometime and Pro version, for what it is, seems very cheap. Just asking for thoughts, experience and opinions really

I've never heard of this one but it sounds interesting. I've had a look at the Nest and it seems very good. I also like how all their products link, so say if there was a carbon monoxide leak, the smoke alarm would tell the thermostat to turn off, sound an alarm and if you have a camera it sends you a live feed. It also links in with the Philips smart bulbs and can switch them on in an emergency and make them flash to alert you . Pretty clever system I thought.

Will that not be due to the RAID confiig? I'm guessing you had no UPS system in place, evidentially that's not good! Last known good confiig has saved me a few times, if not a system restore or worse yet, a backup from a tape or whatever media you use to backup.

That's what people are paid for though! There's definitely no excuse if it has been like that from day one, so easy to run multiple cables along side each other, even with one reel you still have the old double up trick!

I love doing things myself, then I know it's done properly. I'd never put a network cab on plasterboard though, I'd have to find the beams, big piece of wood, then cab onto that and even then that's using bolts rated for 100KG.

I've come across things like this in the past. It annoys me when they use the same cable for a couple of things too, I put it down to laziness rather than expense, CAT5 is only around £23 a roll now. I'd just run a few fresh runs for what its worth!

I'd install it standalone on linux on an old box, isn't massively demanding hardware wise and linux setup is much easier. If not, I'd attach it to an existing server seeing as it demands so little.
