The charging board for the Note 2 is less than a fiver. I know as i bought one for mine when it stopped charging. There are a couple of revisions but the board is marked so it is easy to identify. Avoid the Alpha, my friend has one and it drops calls regularly, apparently a common thing with them.

And onto a cloth not the screen. it runs down behind the trim then can get sucked up by capillary action. LCD ruined. I have visions of a cleaner using the same cloth they use for the tables and chairs straight onto the monitors. Saw it at my last place, and the cleaners didn't even have to do the screens, one thought they'd be helpful. Caught them in time and no damage done.

I'd advise against windows cleaner in case it contained ammonia or alcohol, both with attack the film/coating on the front of screens. And make sure they are all instructed to spray onto the cloth and not the screen. I use AF screen clean also. 250ml bottles but they last ages. I've done this. I went open plan and replaced all the ceilings too. i have 3x3 in each of the rooms (although they now are all one). With each of the 3 on a separate switch so i can adjust the overall brightness. i usually just have the centre row on in the evenings in the kitchen/dining area. Triple light switches for each room, with the lounge having dimable ones. I have all white walls and went with cool white 3w bulbs. Be wary of the holders you buy, the cheap ones from b&q etc for GU10 halogen don't give enough depth for LEDs. I should add that mine are all mains. No transformers.

If you boot from a Live Linux disc/USB does it still do it ?

I found 7 a little fiddly on the tablet i had a play with due to the small boxes that need a precise touch. It was designed for a mouse pointer rather than a stubby finger. I guess it depends on how much touch usage they will have and which software is going to be used on them. My friend has a Surface Pro, he hated Win8 but raves about it now he has 10 on it.

I've yet to see an courses that tell you how to deal with clients !! Some can be an absolute nightmare. Is he wanting to be a designer and make things pretty or code and make them work ? I think you can use the same principle of heating it up to free off the end and using the correct sized spanner instead if pliers for batter grip. It will also stop the hardened teeth damaging the softer brass.
