Perhaps the government should be putting it's energies into a properly thought out country recycling scheme. My local council recycles plastic bags so there is no need for them to be in landfill anyway. Disposable nappies can be recycled, as can food waste so what does that leave left going into the ground ? Plastic can be made from hemp and is biodegradable.

Airbricks go in walls not floors. There shouldn't be any noticeable moisture normally although concrete takes about 100 years to fully cure and all that you are seeing is the water that the wood soaked up from the screed. If you are removing the wood, there should be concrete underneath. Do not dig down, just let it dry out. Then fill the hole.

It's a bit hard to be sure without a photo but it's possible the beam is part of the frame that was set into the concrete. If it was a little rotten then it would act like a sponge sucking up the water from the screed and the damp is the water slowly being released. From personal experience i had to remove a similar beam (although much longer) which was the bottom part of the wooden load bearing wall, when i made my downstairs open plan. I had to chop it out and fill it with concrete and screed before laying my laminate. It didn't need membrane as there was concrete underneath. I wouldn't make any decisions without an experts opinion.

Why the need for AIO ? A quick Google turns up a Lenovo AIO with decent graphics but its £1500. One thing to consider if you haven't is storage of the videos. Working video projects can be quite large.

I've used a multimeter and measured manually in the past but now have a cheap tester that illuminates LEDs. Yes power supplies can be slightly faulty, usually down to cheap nasty capacitors that are drying out. That's when they are at their most dangerous as they can quite easily take out motherboards and hard drives with their unsmoothed and out or range voltages.

I know Sony's can be a little picky on memory but this sounds like a BIOS issue. You'll need an external programmer though.

Considering how many charging cables i used to replace on the Lapsafes because the kids had pulled out the laptops without unplugging the power, having network cables would just be something else to damage and replace. Not a day went by without replacing keys on them too so getting them out once in a while to update and give a check over was no real hardship.

I started a complete renovation of my house a couple of years ago, i removed all of the ceilings downstairs and took out a couple of walls to make it open plan. I did consider Ethernet everywhere but i only have one running from upstairs to down where i will keep a media PC and cable boxes and i haven't even terminated it yet. I've spent all weekend streaming with Kodi from a laptop to a TV and it's not once buffered so i don't regret not adding points everywhere when i had all my electrics done. The one thing i should have done but i didn't is include a pipe or route for extra cables being fed to and from the tv as i have mine floating on the wall. I forgot to add an optical cable back from the tv. Edit : I've just remembered i fitted a couple of cat 5 points behind my TV.

I have just changed from the VIP unlimited package to the £12 one on Virgin. For that i get unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 2GB of data. Did you complain to Virgin, everytime they mess up, i politely complain and usually get a free month. If you do go to EE there shouldn't be any difference in coverage as Virgin use their network. Having been with all of the operators apart from 3 over the last 20ish years , customer service tends to be the same whoever you call. Sometimes it's good, sometimes shockingly bad, all depends on who you speak to.

I reinstalled a Dell with Windows 7 SP1 and did all the updates a couple of days ago and had no issues and have done some updates on a Packard Bell AIO today without issue.

When i worked in a school 100% desktop, i had one screen dedicated to email. I used Thunderbird not Outlook. Now i am self employed 98% Android phone and 2% webmail for those rare emails that don't display properly (usually from iDevices).

Thanks, all the other drivers downloaded fine. I've contacted their support, got a reply telling me it's fine and must be my PC or network. Told them i've tried a couple of PCs and networks, now they want me to send them screenshots. They are now acknowledging the issue, it's only taken four emails and multiple screen shots.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6b51ea and i am downloading the drivers for Windows 7 from this page. HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Customer Support However when i try to download the AMD/Intel switchable high-definition graphics driver it sends me to a country-langauge selector or a Not Found page. Is it just me ? I've tried all three browsers, and a different PC. Thanks.

I bought a second hand Note 2 and run CyanogenMod on it. Best £100 I've spend in a while. I have a larger format printer that i use to print onto canvas for people. Never any problems getting photos off Android phones (memory card, bluetooth etc.), but those with iPhones always struggle. Not me personally but my friend who spent a year telling me how amazing his iPhone was is now a converted Android user and hates his work iPhone.

I think the cost of repairs has to be factored into decisions like this. The surface devices are not very repairable. The idea of mobile devices can be good but I think there are better devices to chose from.

MiniDisc fan here too, i used a portable one to record DJs and i use a full size one as part of my stereo setup as it shows the line in level and allows me to control the volume of three amps from one remote control. The USB fan i bought got turned on once then never again, the noise from the fan is far to loud.

The power on as normal, detect an issue then the protection circuit kicks in and shuts its self down to prevent any more damage.

The screen is shutting down because it is detecting a fault. If you shine a bright light can you see a feint image ? Could be bad capacitors or aging ccfl tubes or their wiring.
