I have just done the same, if you go into the Solus 3 application on the server you can deploy your clients from there. Now I don't have access to my server at this moment, but I take it you have set up the channels for Sims, Sims Discover and FMS if so you can select your clients by clicking the add workstation (i think thats what it was called) on the channel you want i.e. sims and then you are able to browse you active directory OUs and select the clients you require. Now I think that the client has to be on for this to work (I might be wrong someone else confirm)

I have been looking at this script for the last couple of days but I just can't get the shortcuts to populate, the folder is created on the c: drive of the desktop but thats as far as it goes. The network share has Read write and execute. I must be doing something wrong.

I think I might of cracked it. In .\payloads\AdobeIllustrator13en_US and .\payloads\AdobePhotoshop10en_US there are xml files with proxy in the name. At the bottom of each file is a section which refers to Windows XP, Windows Vista and a couple of others, but it doesn't include Windows 7, I deleted the entire from both xml files. It has gone far further than I have got before so I am hoping this is the solution. It will take bout an hour so I will post back later. I can confirm that it has installed and it is so fast to install.

Thanks again Arthur my two xml files are exactly the same as yours, I have even just tried yours just in case I missed something but no I get the same error. I have tried this and the way you suggested earlier, the machine is a fresh Windows 7 install. I must be missing something, I have noticed that if I change the --skipProcessCheck=1 to --skipProcessCheck=0 or --skipProcessChecks=1 I still get the same error which suggests that the --skipProcessCheck=1 is not being seen.

Yes I did the line i used was "\\network location\AdobeCS3\setup.exe" --record=1

I have found the issue its failing the requirement check for each part of the software install I am installing on Windows 7 x86, so has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you get over it?

Here we go ....nothing ever goes as simple as you hope I get to this stage then I get a "End Adobe Setup. Exit Code 7" I have searched around the web and people refer to adding the --skipProcessCheck=1 which is already done. I am hoping someone else has had the same problem and found an answer.

Hi I got a VAG-COM cable that I use on a MK4 at the moment but I believe they are the same. I got mine from ebay and although I have read many posts that they won't work mine has. Now the mods for a MK6 are going to be different than a MK4 but things I have done is Total Closesure, put a bleep on alarm set, set all doors to open on one press of the fob. There are others but I forget now. I am also messing around with Torque — OBD2 Performance and Diagnostics for your Vehicle and android app really worth a look, it works great on my wifes Mk4 but not on mine at the moment. I am rolling out windows 7 with 2008 R2 Servers at the moment and I want to change the way staff work. At the moment they have full access to the C:\ drive not good I know but its they way it was when I got here. Now I just want them to have access to their own home folder and the various network shares, and I see this upgrade as the perfect time. This is going to go down like a lead balloon, so I would like to know if any of you have go through this process and what reasons did you give the staff to get them onside? I don't really want to have a war on my hands when they come back. Reasons I was thinking of using are They will have access to their files no mater what pc they log on to. Their files are always backed up ?????

I have spent allot of time studying at home and I have achieved quite a few exams I have MCP MCTS MCSE MCITP amonst others. My approach is first to have a home lab now this all depends on space you have available but I bought a job lot of Dells off ebay and set up a network, if I was going to do it again I think I would buy something like a Hp Proliant ML series with as many cores as you can afford and and do it all virtually. As for course material I normally buy the Microsoft self paced training kit books, and make this my starting point, I also use CBT Nuggets and I can't recommend them enough because you can stop and start them and go back to them, unlike a training course, and they do answer you emails if you have a question. Above all make sure you use the OS or application you are studying. I have found many videos on YouTube too that have been helpful. When it comes to the exam make sure you are confident with your subject use the questions that come with your training material. Oh and make sure you make time for your studying and make it regular. Well thats what has worked for me, I have done paid courses too though.

I am on the beg for a really locked down student GPO for for windows 7 to get us started I have just created a Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Templates using this How to create a Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Templates in Window Vista and I have now realised just how many setting there are. What I am looking for is a basic set to get up and running with so the little darlings don't create hell when they come back come to think of it the students could be just as bad . I know this is a big ask but I am sure I will pass back the favor at some time.

I have have a similar issue when a TS in the early days failed and I right clicked both boot images, went into properties unticked "Enable Command Support" clicked apply, let it go through its process and then ticked it again, let it go through the process again and then deployed both images again

Just a thought when you installed WDS did you configure it? I have read somewhere this error is to do with a mis-configuration of wds, have a look here using SCCM 2012 RC in a LAB - Part 2. Add SUP and WDS - Configuration Manager 2012 - Release Candidate - www.windows-noob.com he explains how to install wds. BTW if this is your problem you can remove the role reboot the server and re add the role (I know cos I have done it) It is really important that it is setup the way he describes.
