[android] Android tablet loses Wi-Fi proxy settings
edie209 replied to nLinked's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
What version of Android do they have? I seem to remember that there was a problem with WiFi on 2.2 it could be this causing the problem. -
I am still getting this problem though, and I am also getting it if I try to add lessons in the Booking System tab
-
Fair enough does that mean once these are set there is no coming back to change settings?
-
During the Active Directory setup stage I am able to browse for the Students group, however when I select "+Add", I get the "AD User Browser OU Editor" I am able to enter a name and browse AD for the OU and the LDAP path gets filled in But when I select add I get an internal server error. Does Booking and Help Desk have to be configured first before I can set this up or is there a problem. Some further information when I click on save I get this error [h=1]Server Error in '/hap' Application.
[/h][h=2]Object reference not set to an instance of an object.[/h]Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Well I have managed to do it but it was really strange, at the app_data level I was unable to add the HAP user. so I ended up using the icacls cmd on the app_data folder and gave it read permissions then I was able to go in via explorer and give it write permissions too. I could have done it all using icacls I suppose, but it was just the process I went through.

I have just installed a new web server 2008 x64 and they gone through your setup instructions and I am getting Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\hap\app_data\hapconfig.xml' is denied. I have gone through and checked all the settings and everything seems to be ok, I did have an issue with the HAP user and had to use the script on your codeplex site apart fro that everything went smoothly untill this. Server Error in '/hap' Application. Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\hap\app_data\hapconfig.xml' is denied. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\hap\app_data\hapconfig.xml' is denied. ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET request identity. ASP.NET has a base process identity (typically {MACHINE}\ASPNET on IIS 5 or Network Service on IIS 6 and IIS 7, and the configured application pool identity on IIS 7.5) that is used if the application is not impersonating. If the application is impersonating via , the identity will be the anonymous user (typically IUSR_MACHINENAME) or the authenticated request user. To grant ASP.NET access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the appropriate user or group. -
That is sooo sexy............. BTW have you watched Cafe Racer on Discovery
-
I think I will give that a go and see what happens
-
mmm could be back to the drawing board then
-
Yeh I have been reading this and my thinking was if I could deploy an image to capture then I could deloy an image and not capture, so if I had the relevant drivers in the image I would then have a golden image. Or does sccm do something on the capture?
-
I am playing with SCCM and although we move to Windows 7 soon I still have to support Windows XP for the time. I have been trying to create a golden image without imaging and capturing similar to the way RIS worked. I have integrated all the drivers from the DriversPack repository and used Nlight to create the image but I am really not getting anywhere lots of errors on the file file copy stage and constant blue screens once past that. Has anyone done this and if so how did you achieve it.

Should have seen the storms when i was living in Brisbane now that is what I call thunder and lightning, and the rain is relatively warm.

Having just driven through rivers on the A38 we now have thunder too, deep joy

I have an old Rigid frame Sportster its just about to be unwrapped its crate after bringing it back from Oz. I love riding but to be honest I do ride less and less these days. I worked for GT Motorcycles for the first 7 years of my working life. Up to about 1997 I had rode most bike available except a few Italian beauts and I think my favorite has to be the Kawasaki KH400 I know strange choice but the sound of the bike was special especially with Allspeeds.
-
Thanks for that I am sure it will come in very handy
-
Hi Gshaw that would be really handy cheers, I also see quite a few of you are on SCCM2012 is it a easy upgrade or are you re installing?
-
I have downloaded a program from Microsoft called SMS Trace and it shows the issues with the deployment from the smstslog file. It turns out I had not distributed one of the packages, I can now enjoy my weekend
-
Ok I have found out how to enable the F8 support right-click on your boot image and choose PropertiesSelect the Windows PE tab from the properties, and place a check mark in "Enable command support" then click apply
-
I have installed SCCM 2007 over the last couple of weeks in between other things, and I have now come to testing it and I have run into a problem. I have created boot images, OS Images, task sequences and advertised. I have followed guides from on here and on windows-noob dot com. I can boot a PC via PXE and then I see it download the windows boot PE image, and then I get the Initializing screen then I am presented with "Welcome to the task sequence wizard" (with no password ) I select next and then I get to choose the task sequence. This is where the problem arises, I get the message "Failed to run task Sequence" the task sequence cannot be run because a package referenced by the task sequence could not be found. I have searched the web and I am lead to look for the logs on the client PC by pressing F8 and navigating to the X: drive I am unable to do this as the the machine just reboots and no end of pressing the F* button. So does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next. I have included shots of the screen just to illustrate what I am seeing.

just a quick update the JA.net cert is working fine -
After playing with some virtual machines I came across a problem with the activation grace period running out So here is how to extend it Open a Command Prompt. Type slmgr.vbs –rearm, and press ENTER. Restart the computer. You computer has now extended the evaluation period 60 days!!! You can re-run up to 3 times giving you an activation-free trial period of a total of 240 days!! How Much Time Is Remaining in the Evaluation Period You can find out by running the same script this time with different switch Type slmgr.vbs -dli, and the current status of the evaluation period is displayed.
