  1. Slightly on topic still.. Ordered charger + spare batts for my Syma X1, got the charger, batts + power lead in separate order though so not arrived! Roll on uninterrupted flying! Well recommend the X1 for a starter - It seems to be able to take a beating!
  2. 20mile round trip, half of which is through small and windy country roads (Live down one!) Soon to be 5 mile round trip - thinking of walking! Might even get a fitbit from the fuel savings!!!
  3. At least others have joined in
  4. My boss has quite a few - he says they help but they're not as such pleasant!
  5. Ordered a new GFX card from Ebuyer, parents not in twice so decide to ring up and set it for me collecting it at the weekend, go through automated phone system all happy. Drive to depot (approx 45min each way) wait 20mins as only 1 man on the desk. Get told it's currently out for delivery! Grr!
  6. For digital displays we have a dozen screens in our main hall hooked up to digital signage. Mostly displays stuff like activities / trips / upcoming events.
  7. Scored 0 too! I struggled with R/G/Brown, Blue/Purple, Grey/Pink!
  8. I had to have a root canal done on one of my front teeth (Dentist thought it may have been due to having braces - the tooth next to it moved a long way and they thought that could have damaged it). They asked if I could have it done privately because the root was wonky or something and they didn't know if they could do it effectively. £350 later and back in to remove the temporary filling the private dentist did, so all in approx £400! Oh well at least I got a free white filling as it was a front tooth! Also the private dentist took a photo of my tooth to take to a talk on root canals because of how little discolouration it had!
  9. It's a trap - he's setting up a honeypot!
  10. How do you guys go about it? We're looking to start properly implementing a solution to signing in and out assets (mostly software as it goes walkies, as do most things!) If you've got a sign out sheet, would you mind forwarding me a copy? Cheers!
  11. Does it just compare your steps, or compares pretty much any activity?
  12. Mum seems to get these calls every now and again. Luckily she says to them that my brother and I are IT techs and she'll get us to fix it. Don't think my Gran has had any of these calls, but I'd hope she'd do the same thing as Mum as we look after her laptop too.
  13. Unfortunately I couldn't have this week off, otherwise I would have scored big time with steps! Mates have gone up to the Lake District for a weeks walking holiday, and I'm stuck here in the office!
  14. I think so - at leasts it makes me feel worse for days I don't hit my target! Depending on how the weeks gone if I haven't hit 2 or more days, I'll go out for an extra long walk at the weekend to make up for it!
  15. I'm thinking about going Plusnet when I move out in a couple of weeks - speed estimates on the line seem decent to the house. Unfortunately I couldn't talk the Misses into getting the top speed package!
  16. I don't know how accurate it is but I use the one on my Galaxy S4!
  17. PM sent!
  18. Will be buying some more batts from banggood, noticed they have earn $3 by referring a friend - either of you want to?
  19. I got one of these for my Birthday a few weeks ago.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/SpaceCraft-4-axis-360%C2%A1%C3%A3-Helicopter-copter/dp/B009S32P6W been playing in the garden when it's not too windy. Think I need to put the L plates on again!
  20. Used to have a Morris Minor (1969).. had ~90k on the clock when I had it, who knows how many times around it had been before that though!!!
  21. We used to use a charitable company that would come and collect when we had a decent amount of them. However one of our students, a member of a local Scout group, asked if he could take them for fundraising. We checked it through senior management and now when we have a box the size we think he can carry to his parents car we send him an email / catch him in the corridors and say his next batch is ready!

  23. You have a PM
  24. We're having the wifi over in our 6th form block upgraded in July to enable us to roll out a BYOD scheme for them (We have also purchased a few devices for students unable to bring in devices.) It's all still very new here, but I'd be happy to put you in contact with the boss if you have any questions! (Guildford, Surrey)
  25. We're currently looking at implementing printing costs here, and have recently installed Papercut to monitor this terms activity. We are hopefully going to work out student / teacher allowances with this + taking into account what other people here have suggested on here. We have about 6-7 different printer models here, and alongside that 2 small ricoh devices and a large one. I went through all the toner cartridges "expected life" and worked out the cost per page and rounded it up. The average worked out at 4p Mono 7p Colour just for toner costs.
