  1. I've phoned Yodel who said they're going to interview the driver.. and I've also tweeted them saying it was signed for but not by anyone at home! Now just ringing ebuyer..
  2. After my other post regarding a small home nas I ordered a 2tb buffalo linkstation from Ebuyer! Received the tracking info for Yodel, out for delivery... about 4:30pm it's updated saying it was delivered at ~10:15am. I had phoned my parents (who had been home all day) at midday to ask if there had been a delivery which there hadn't. Phoned up Yodel who inform my that the parcel was signed for with my surname..! I was at work, both parents at home (we live on a Scout Campsite - a few volunteers about too) who said there had been no delivery attempt! Currently waiting on their investigations department..! Where do I stand with this? £180 of delivery "signed for" and not turned up!
  3. Have popped my name down, will share within my Scouting circles
  4. We've got 10 iPads which we hope to use Meraki to manage - all seems to be going well so far but we're yet to roll them out to students! One thing I haven't managed to work out is if there is a way to lock down the restrictions in general settings > restrictions (We can forsee kids mucking about with this if it's not locked down) Obviously we could go onto each device and set a pin for manually and luckily we only have 10 devices to bother with at the moment, but if / when we get more it would be a right pain! Any help would be appreciated!
  5. It's taken a slight back burner thanks to decorating costs! However the set up will be: Amp situated on TV unit, the Mrs' Dad is putting in new sockets and such for us, so whilst he's at it I've asked him to run conduit up inside the wall behind the TV unit into the loft which will allow me to run speaker cable up to 2 wall mounted speakers with only short end of the wire poking through the wall! (may be able to get mounts that allow the wire to go up them - need to look in to this!) Pi will also be situated on TV unit running RaspBMC which will be able to take stream music from the NAS! One of the amps inputs will be from the Pi, and then control RaspBMC via my phone! Worked okay when I tested it at home just running it through my hifi through the aux input! A few niggles here and there but its £50 compared to several hundred quid on top of amp + speakers!
  6. Happy I got my CycloneForce then! If all else fails I'm sure is under the limits...
  7. Hi all, We have approx 20 Qcharger external battery chargers for Viglen Futura laptops. Battery model it fits is R15B (I think!) All were working when we put them into our stock room! Looking for about £30 a piece, though happy to make a deal - open to all offers! Jon
  8. Hi all, I've recently moved into my own house - woo! I'm looking at having a small NAS to store all my photos and documents on, but also to use alongside RaspBMC to play music via a Pi/Amp/Speakers in the front room. Doesn't have to be anything all singing all dancing, but must be reasonably cheap! My current thinking is getting this Any other recommendations? Cheers, J
  9. On a tangent.. Is the Roku worth it?
  10. Hi all, For sale is a collection of 8 Computercharge ChargeBox15 laptop charging trollies all on reasonably good condition (we would prefer to sell them as a job lot but can split if wanted). Each trolley has room for 15 laptops (Tray dimensions: 300mm wide, 400mm deep, 50mm high) with a charging point next to it, there are also small trays that house the power adapters and have 2 captive loops to secure the cables in them. The trollies come with a switch on the back – a Netgear ProSafe 24 Port 10/100 Switch and an extension lead. The trollies all close, and will be able to lock if we can find the key..! Happy to take more pictures, or welcome to come have a look. Any questions please ask! Looking for £350 per unit – open to offers though and happy to knock a bit off for a job lot. (Happy to throw in 2 broken ones as spares too!) Collection from Guildford (GU1)
  11. They're on mine too - can't get them for myself before I give them as a present though!
  12. I have a friend who's a fan of hot sauce - getting these for his Birthday! Whoop Ass HOT SAUCE Wooden Crate Gift Set - Makes A Fantastic Gift For A Hot Sauce Lover DATED 02 10 14 Don't know how hot they are, they just look cool!
  13. I've heard good and bad things about shared ownership. My cousin over in Bracknell is on one of those schemes and she is getting on fine, however some of her friends have suffered on it (Can't remember any details). Surrey sucks for mortgages / rent, I feel your pain! I have friends in Egham paying ~£900 for a 1bed flat. My Dad was able to buy himself a 2bed terraced house towards Woking which he rents out for about £900 a month. Depending on how you feel you could look at house sharing as has been mentioned previously in the thread! A friend does it in our home town, and she's had good house mates and bad!

    Your Desk!

Ha joining..... I've been a member since I was old enough to join beavers, currently 26 and a Assistant Cub Scout Leader (with the same group that I was a Beaver > Explorers associated with the group)! That's a form to start an ASU moving now we're too old for Network! Also, for the last decade my Dad has run a Scout camp site in Surrey! Mum and Dad met via Scouting, so born and bred!

Can I join the 3 monitor club now?
  16. Which hockey team do you support?
  17. Looking forward to the Ice Hockey season! Go Flames!
  18. Well done! A group of friends and I are planning a couple of walks towards the end of this summer - 1st is our take on the "Surrey 3 Peaks" which I think will end up being about 35+km. We're also looking at Snowdon too! I'll make sure my phone is charged on both of these to get a decent idea of steps! (Can't splash out on anything at the mo! Just signed contracts for our house so it's getting closer! ) I'm thinking of giving the couch to 5k a bash - does the fitbit know when you're running as opposed to just counting steps?
  19. Then they could fire up the gennies again
  20. First day of the hols.. Music up loud, couple of fans pinched from other rooms to make a nice breeze, feet up on desk whilst sorting + catalogue all software cds we've had for the past few years! Cold coke in the fridge for lunch! Just need a bbq and beer now...
  21. Same as this
  22. Woo! 6 batteries, low wind and open field = amazing! Had so much fun and got the hang of stuff so much easier in such a big open space! If you're ever around Surrey JAB, let us know! Would love to see a decent flyer! (And maybe get some pointers cough cough )
  23. Entrance for the borrowers?
  24. My partner and I are purchasing a maisonette and there are only a few sockets here and there, and in a few odd locations! Luckily her Dad is an electrician (Plus handyman) and has offered to relocated sockets + put them in where we want them and he'll plaster over the mess left behind. Luckily we are redecorating anyway!
