    We use them with our teaching assistants, they have their own microsoft accounts for logging onto the machines, and then we connect O365 up to outlook and one drive etc, they access SIMS through Bromcoms Teachers Web Folder and they get to treat it like their own personal device.

    Personally, I cannot give a comprehensive overview of SLG, I used it 3 years ago, as part of a very complex BSF setup, which is now slightly less complex (the LEA pulled the ICT contract) and I found it frustrating and unintuitive at the time, and IMHO I thought bromcoms MCAS was better for our parents than SLG. But u also fund sharepoint online hard to use, and as such never touched it.

    Shouldn't be, I am not sure what just givings minimum is, but we will be trying to fundraise on the way as well. Every little helps

    Scrap it and get Bromcomms Teachers Web Folder for staff and their MyChildAtSchool for parents, I found it a far more polished off system that works very well.

    I'm sure @VeryPC would like to donate, as there used to be a good corps in their area (The Forgemen) but alas, they folded years ago.

    Drum Corps gets everywhere, I no longer march, although I still pull the tuba out for christmas carol fundraising but I mainly teach our youth unit and now and again pop along to the senior corps to give a hand.

    The technical guys have their own office, and I am in a shared office with the Exams office, 4 Assistant Headteachers, 1 member of our Secretarial team and an AST. Needless to say, sometimes I go down to the technical office because its not as busy, or go hide in the server room, which is 2 doors down from where I am.

    To All, As you may or may not know, I am involved in a local youth charity (it's a Drum Corps for those in the know) that do a large annual fundraiser each year. This year we are going to walk the wealdway, but in reverse from last year, as in we are Starting at Eastbourne and going up to Gravesend and then into Northfleet. This is only 82 miles over 3 days, going over both the South and North downs. If anyone feels like making a donation, please do so with my Just giving link below, Garry Gardiner is fundraising for Black Knights Drum and Bugle Corps This will be happening from Friday 15th August 2014 until Sunday 17 (and yes I will be back in work the next day) Thank you all :-)

    I do love a bit of the big city (live on the high speed link outside in kent) so I den get to St Pancs in 20 odd minutes and most around. First stop, shopping at westfields in stratford? A big well done to you, and as always, if you need anything, just holla in this direction and we will all help.

    No problems @MrMDStreet that's what we are here for, but it could be M$ word settings for the dictionary rather than SIMS itself (you will have to do some playing) but once you have the first couple of letter working then you can show the admin staff how to edit the templates :-)

    May be best to check out Capita Supportnet on that one, or speak to your support supplier for SIMS

    I only discovered it 4 years ago, when on the phone to our Local Support Service trying to make a report to do what you was doing and they said you do realise you can generate these letters straight from attendance, I was like nope. Needless to say, it is great to do what you are trying to do, and there should be some documentation on it, in the attendance manual in the Documents Centre :-)

    I would look at Tools > Setups > Attendance Setup > Letter Definition In here you can make letters based on attendance information and run it through reports > Lesson Monitor (or attendance) > Letters > Print and send letters Hope that helps

    ok, you should be able to take ownership of the folder, using the instructions in the link below, to get the administrator account its access back, then try the security policies again. Take Ownership of a File or Folder I have done this before, it is worrying, but it is all still there, you will be fine :-)

    This may do what you need for wordpad, Screen Tinter From the sounds of it, this child has Irlen's Syndrome, are there no overlays available in school he can put on the screen, that is what students do here :-)
