Time for the sob story, Our youngest group werea having a sleep over ("band camp") last Saturday night, and they were all very excited and didn't go to sleep until 3am. I went out for a ciggy and caught 2 people stripping parts of our truck including the batteries all the cables and they were at the exhaust (luckily they didn't break in for the instruments) and we have a competition next weekend so we have to find extra money to rent 2 luton vans of a 7.5 tonne truck to get to our competition which is next sunday if our truck is not repaired in time. So we really need your help in sponsoring this event to cover costs for our little ones.

Its an All boys school (except for the handful of girls who are in the 6th form) years 7 through 13 will be performing, usually their own 'rock' bands and some other acoustic stuff, very eclectic.

Oh I am having a proper giggle, and being in general chat, I means the music teachers can look at it :-)

Some on people, this has gone far too quiet, I am sure we can get some more of you in on this :-)

Time to tap up our collective imagination people. We are doing our final "Music Concert" of the year and we need to think of a cleaver title, Someone suggested 'Sausage and Jam' but that sounded to much of an innuendo and 'Bangers and Slash' was taken out as it is very one band. I am sure there are a few creative minds out there which could come up with something better :-)

Have you recently switched from Roaming to Mandatory profiles with the move to win7. Also it could be registry permissions rather than file, had this with one of the MSoffice programs onces -
It's gone all quiet again, everyone must be busy :-(

Good Morning All, My brain is a little bit fried here, one of our computing teachers wants to do a VC link between countries (yes countries) and he says he has seen it done in moodle using BigBlueButton, I have tried to explain that we would need to setup a BBB server to run it, which I just cannot seem to do at the moment, as we only have 1 server accessible to the web through a central TMG provided by the LEA. This server is running 2008 r2 with moodle in IIS and HAP+ nicely. But I am struggling to see a way of easily (and nicely) install BBB or some other VC enabled service that can integrate with moodle (like openmeetings) Any suggestions on this one would be a good one (personally I said use Skype to the other teachers laptop but that didn't go down too well)

What about getting some standard speaker cable and a couple of photo heads and solder them on, it is actually quite easy to do :-)

We have a Meru system and all seems fine with SIMS, sometimes those symptoms come up if the SIMS network drive is disconnected for some reason and when there is an update to SIMS itself but not on general use.

[windows tablet] 30 Surface RT's... What to do with them?
BKGarry replied to fairm010's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
thank you @fiza I wonder if I could code this into a VB .net app to enter the details, although the last time i even attempted something like that was 9 years ago with Visual Basic 6 -
I am afraid I have never moved the SIMS DB to a fresh installation. Always had our support providers do it. Sz.

@fiza could I possibly have a copy of that script? -
Is this what Capita refers to as a SIMs Workgroup setup? I have seen these before but they always worry me a bit, who do you pay for your maintenance and SIMS upgrades each year?

It's a shame you cannot logon to them directly with the users existing 365 accounts. Don't know if anyone has managed that. -

On a more serious note though. Are you O365 or google apps? -

They are really designed for 1:1, especially since you have to have a Microsoft Live account to use on them.
