Do you find the ST's gearbox to be a bit clunky in temps lower than 4/5c? Mine feels that way even after 30 mins or so driving. If the temps higher it seems fine.

I'm self employed, subcontracted IT support worker, I work directly for someone else who in turn has the contracts under his business. Great set up for me personally, I(we) support 15 small schools and i really enjoy the change of scenery each day! One tip i'll give you is don't fall into the trap of trying to do too much remotely, as tempting as it is. A smiling face on premises is very important for the business side of things, and you'd be surprised how often you collared with jobs that haven't been reported when your in a school you might not a visited for a week or two. It's the nature of the beast.

Strange one this guys and gals, We have one server that does everything(DC,DHCP,FS,PS etc...) and the server seems to have picked up the start menu redirection settings. I also cannot search and run programs like CMD. It shows in the results but does nothing when clicked. I have disabled inheritance on the container for the DC and RSOP shows that the start menu redirection and restriction settings are not being applied to the server. Is there perhaps a reg setting for forcing the start menu back to local? It's very odd and I've not seen this before.

The smell of petrol. The sound of a storm and rain hitting the window whilst be tucked up in bed. After having one of my many night terrors, hearing my girlfriend say "...it's just a dream, go back to sleep". Struggling with a technique/combination, then pulling it off flawlessly in sparring.

I suppose you could try redeploying but taking out a piece of the sequence at a time to rule things out, only thing i can suggest to narrow it down.

What happens if you create a new local user, does it work then? Powershell command for that:
-
What do the logs say? When you say it isn't working do you mean it doesn't work completely or redirected start menu doesn't work? If it's not working at all, does your TS strip out any apps? If yes try running this in powershell and see if it fixes it

Need to bump this as it's relevant and i'm curious. I didn't find UEV to be 100% reliable for chrome and a little slow at picking up changes, but this could be an error with my configuration. I noticed that in chrome policy options i can configure chrome to have a roaming profile, but you can also configure it to store the profile in a specified folder such as my documents. This can be a possible solution for local profiles roaming just chrome data, everything else is either redirected or handled by UEV. The policy creates a small profile.pb file in the specified folder. This will roam settings such as accounts, passwords and bookmarks. I've tested it on a Windows 7 network and it seemed to work Ok with local profiles, albeit it was a small/quick test. Has anyone been using this across the school? I'm curious about file size and performance impact on chrome starting up.

Can't you use a login script? I have this code in my snippets folder and i never used it so it's untested, worth a try as a login or log off script? Let me know if it works actually ha

I had to run the powershell cmd's as domain user and not as local admin to get it to work.

We haven't deployed windows 10 yet but are about to, is this still happening with no fix from Microsoft? It's a serious and major flaw for us. Can people on 1709 confirm this is happening to them also?

I train kickboxing/boxing and jiu jitsu. I've fought MMA before (with reduced rules, no elbows and no ground and pound to the head) but i think my next fight if i can get matched up will be a kickboxing bout. I can't recommend martial arts enough to anyone looking to get fit and lose weight, it's so fun and intense.

That's some good going! Keep us updated on your progress! I've been losing a bit, i want to fight in February so need to keep my weight down. I'm at 12 stone now from about 13, just need to keep it there till i get an opponent/weight confirmed! Hard to do when i love eating so much!

Dreading this one. I'm self employed and really can't face being off for a few weeks!

Bright Got a bad wrap from the critics. I liked it, a fun police partner shoot em up type film with a fantasy twist. I think the back story has big potential for another film or as a series. 7/10

Ok, so for anyone wondering that XML template actually works Ok. The issue was caused because i was chopping and changing XMLs a lot and i thought the client machines picked up these XML files at startup, which isn't the case. They actually have a scheduled task that runs every 24 hours! Which i run manually instead after any changes. So with that template the machines save changes back to the server. Another issue i have is that it doesn't seem to be saving changes over the Wifi but that could be unrelated to UEV.

I' know i've posted about this before and mentioned it in other threads, but i'm really at at loss with this. I've set up UE-V and it appears to be working correctly. If i login on one machine and set the font in notepad, set it, log off then log in on the other machine i can see the font setting as applied. I can also so the folders on the server are creating for things like "DesktopSettings" (doesn't seem to change much) and "Notepad"etc.. I have a chrome XML i pinched off the internet and placed it into my templates folder on my file server. I ran "get-uevconfiguration" and i can see that it is pointing towards the templates share. Also if i do "get-uevtemplate" the chrome template is there. But no folder in the settings on the file server exists or gets created. No favorites are saved. I'm at a loss and i'm desperate to get it working as we are using local profiles in the windows 10 project, which other than this issue is working perfectly for us. Here is my XML: Anyone any clues as what to try next? At a loss.

Star Wars, didn't like it. Felt very much like a Disney film and didn't like attempt at humour.

Not quite the same as you guys, but this one helped me through my CCNA:D: "Old Macdonald had a farm, EIGRP" Enhanced interior gateway routing protocol.

I think spartan was Edge's code name during development.

Yeah think we are gonna go with chrome as default, use edge merely as a backup. It's finding the time to work on the project lately!

[tv show] Star Trek New Star Trek Series Premieres January 2017

That's a fair point. I do find them a little frustrating too but this one didn't bother me. Apart from the ending. It kinda felt rushed and an easy way out of the story. -

The episode with Mudd was good, but had such a weak ending.
