  1. Hi all, I have an issue at a school in which Sync Center was enabled for users (all users) and now the CSC folder is massive and taking a lot of disk space. I've now corrected the mistake, and switched Sync Center off as we actually don't need it. However, the folder remains and i'm struggling to delete it. I've tried the following regedit but had no luck https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/942974/on-a-windows-vista-based-or-windows-7-based-client-computer-you-can-st Any ideas?
  2. Are later builds of 10 still having this issue? We are still on 1709 EDU looking to upgrade soon, i'm wondering if any of the later builds are still having issues with printers disappearing.
  3. Ok it's Netsweeper. The AP's try to download the firmware but are failing becuase the URL for the FW is https. If i SSh into the AP's and manually update the firmware via CLI and remove the S from https firmware URL, it'll download and update.
  4. All my AP's are showing as update required but i can't download the updates in the controller. The button is just missing! I'm suspecting Netsweeper....
  5. Anyone having any issues with Unifi controllers not being able to download updates for AP's?
  6. Fully agree. The best part about the lightspeed setup was a transparent proxy, and now that's gone.
  7. It seems ok now where I am. Anyone still having issues?
  8. Yeah we are getting the same, I've a few schools reporting poor BB performance.
  9. My domain computers have been ok, but it really feels like a step backwards. We are just going to have to tell vistors they cannot use their own computers in school until we figure out a guest network.
  10. I suppose i'll have to look into how Unifi Guest network works then. I'd wish i could have just stayed on Lightspeed! To us techs, the change was completely unnecessary.
  11. One of my schools has been ported and on some standalone machines i haven't installed the cert, and they are not getting any browsing errors at all but at an other school i've had to do it. I'd rather not have to manually configure any PC that comes into school. Feels like the days of having to key the proxy into visitors laptops again.
  12. None as of yet. Not impressed at all.
  13. I'm going to change that too! Id rather pupil filtering be the fail safe.
  14. I didn't think we had to install a cert for all devices! I'd rather not have to either! Hopefully it's just an issue with my first schools migration.
  15. Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this. Should devices with NO configuration (just wifi password) be filtered by IP and be allowed to browse the web? I've had two schools migrated, one schools iPads and standalone PC's would not work. I needed to install the certificate onto the PC's as i was getting unsecure website errors. The other school has been migrated and the iPads and standalone PC's are browsing the web fine with no errors. Albeit, filtered as students.
  16. I'll try when i get changed over, still in the process of having our schools migrated.
  17. This is strange. All i did was deploy the GPO's and MSI and then the login page started acting up! But adding /start/ did work...
  18. Anyone else getting access denied page for https://filter.education.btlancashire.co.uk/WebAdmin/?
  19. SSD's all the way. I've noticed issues on spinning HDD W10 machines with 100% disk usage at times, probably due to the superfetch service.
  20. Yeah that's what we want, then deploy an agent and filter via AD for my domain users.
  21. Anyone know if we'll be using a transparent proxy, and if the default filtering is students to unknown users/devices? Example, an iPad with no config other than being on the school wifi, would still have internet access and be treated as a student device/user?
  22. For me, i can see no reason to change other than cost. It's been solid and i've had no issues using it at all.
  23. Punching mate! Congrats!
  24. They must have their reasons, i mean, it's hard work for everyone! I wonder if Lightspeed tried to jack the costs up come renewal time?
