Anyone else experiencing an issue with Teams today regarding a persistent sign in banner? We've had multiple users unable to use Teams for meeting due to this message. It states an admin may have initiated a sign in request, which is odd. Just thought I'd check to see if it's wide spread or just us! I can't see anything of relevance in the Service Status page.

If I remember correctly, when setting up the SSO you configure the user accounts policy in google admin to redirect to SSO, it's something in there. I'll have a look later on for the policy.

We are with EDS. Interested to hear how you get on moving to a new provider. Are you having much issues with EDS? Since they went with Netsweeper cloud there's been a few instances of downtime.

I've had this issue when running sysprep and I had to delete any local profiles of other users before running it.

I got so fed up of paying for cars on finance so I bought a 2011 BMW 320d with 140,000 miles on the clock for around 2.5-3K 2 years ago. I've had to do the usual maintenance, tyres and brake pads, but most cars will need these over a 2-3 year span at some point if you do an average or above average mileage. I was spending £300 a month previously on cars, so buying the shed has now "paid" for itself. I've had to replace a shock absorber but that's about it outside of normal maintenance. Its's now done 191,000 miles and still going. Hoping I'll get it to 200K. It's not perfect, has a slight a oil leak on the gasket which can smoke, but, it works. Every morning it fires up and gets me to work which is all I care about.

Sounds like they need to employ a Director of IT at the MAT. Figuring all this out is the first step and is a fair old challenge. Once that person has then worked out costs they can then start to build the team they need to deliver, probably staggered over a few years. That person will then be in charge of the team, contracts and future direction of IT within the trust.

I'm probably out of luck with this, but I've been asked to help out at a small primary that's had a bit of a disaster. The server (single DC, VM) won't boot with a bluescreen of 0xc00002e2. That error points towards a corrupt NTDS.dit file. I've tried a few commands in esenutl and ntdsutil and getting no luck with doing a repair. Interestingly the log files are stored in another location which I'm not used to seeing. I'm trying to do a repair using esentutl tool but it seems to be hanging on the defrag ntds.dit part at 45%, although CPU usage is a 50% so maybe it's doing something? It's been at it for an hour though. There's no backups for the VM as it was configured incorrectly but their data drive (virtual disk) is backed up and intact. But the servers drive C isn't. No system state! I'm thinking this a new domain build, but is there anything I can to make life easier? Anyway to export user accounts and group polices? Or is it toast and simply start again? Any tips or help would be appreciated. A side note, school have authorised a proper backup solution to be put in place, but obviously that doesn't help me now.

We've been using Viewsonic screens over the last few years and had a good experience with them. Small primaries and they have laptops connected to them. Had to update firmware on a couple of them to solve a freezing issue, but other than that they've been ok so far.

I used to run a Asus Xonar DX sound card with custom drivers made by the community! Paired with some fantastic surround sound speakers it sounded brilliant, I miss those days! Not many run a system like that now. I used to love listening to music on that setup. This wasn't even that long ago, maybe 8 years ago. Unfortunately, I moved and the speakers had to go as they will too loud. The card was also powered from a floppy drive power connector If I remember rightly, and needed adapters! It mustn't have been able to draw enough from the PCI-E slot. These days I'm USB headset. I miss my sound card and massive speakers from 2004

Have you tried putting it into DFU mode and restoring?

Honestly I can't remember, I was only a very young teen. Maybe even 12. I remember trying to watch F1 on it and it barely worked, knowing me back then, I will have absolutely bodged it in some way!

PCI TV Card back in the early 2000's. I had a vision of doing everything on my PC. I never did get it to work properly, or that the software was just naff. In the end, I just plugged in my Goodmans TV back in haha.

I came across something similar recently. It was DNS. The servers static IP was different to the IP listed in DNS, someone had changed it which was very odd.

I completed my 10 mile race in the lakes in 1 hour 55, pretty pleased with it really as my goal was sub 2hr. 1600ft incline which was tough at times! Haha!

I'm with Netsweeper, so whilst you can't comment on exact fixes obviously, but is this likely to mean a new cert or is the fixes more backend?

I did a half marathon the other day, sometimes I just set off running and if I feel good I just keep going. I live quite rural so ended up with a 1400ft incline over the 13/14 miles distance! I'm doing the Ullswater trail 10(miles) race in the summer, can't wait! Few of the lads are doing it together and were camping a few nights.

One of my schools had a reply from LCC this morning, stating they are aware of the issue, and it's due to newer versions of chrome and edge having issues with the Netsweeper cert. The current fix is that we should install older versions. Erm, no thanks! Too many schools/devices, it'd be a nightmare to manage not to mention potentially unsafe putting outdated browsers on. The alternative advice is make use of the No Decrypt group but that's reduced filtering so I won't be doing that either! Hopefully Netsweeper have a solution soon.

Yeah the LA provides the service and the cert. They are in the process of moving schools to Netsweeper cloud, basically moving it off their own servers to Netsweepers. I'm assuming something is going wrong with this. Some sites work, some don't and refreshing the page once or twice solves it.

I've a few schools reporting that some sites aren't loading and throwing a "Your connection is not private". It's some sort of certificate error with Netsweeper, refreshing the page a few times normally sorts it/ I've reported to LCC but they just asked what site it was and added it to the allowed list, even though it's not blocked in the first place. Anyone else having issues?

Just to update anyone who else might end up in the same spot with these sharp drivers on 2016, last night I took a snapshot and did an in place upgrade from 2016 to 2022. Came in his morning and no complaints of a stuck spooler so far, so see what happens in the coming days.
