That's understandable, spread the cost out over the year. There's no need for a double increase. I can't have time off in term time, so have to resort to school holidays.

Make holidays more affordable in non term time and all this won't be an issue. I looked at a week away in Wales, and it comes back at £700 at the end of July (summer hols). The week before its £300. That is just ridiculous!

My road running is going ok. Ran a road PB of 5.31 and a pace of 9.27 min/mile. Happy with that. Completely different to trail running. Although trail running is probably harder I could go on forever with that.

Yes. Internal IT Services. We have all our services, such as phones, broadband, SIMs etc, at each site with the same provider ie. Scomis provides SIMs. This saves us money as we have more buying power. 8 schools are better than 1.

We provide services at no profit, or gain. We aim to give the best advice possible. A business would be looking 'make money' from the school.

And to bring all services under one umbrella makes economical and business sense. Academies are business, so cost cutting exercises will always happen. We had schools paying £10k a year for IT support. That is just ridiculous.

Being a MAT isn't all bad. We were of the first MAT's in the country. Yes some changes have happened, but it's for the good of the academy. Some primaries were failing badly, but are now turning the corner.

IT Technician

Having measured the 'gap' it is 90cm. A range is 90cm. Did I read somewhere there has to be a certain gap either side?

Did they install a hood as well? There is a hood but is in the wrong location. There used to be a smaller electric oven, but the vendor took that.

We finally exchanged on friday. Moving in a week or so. We need to buy a dual fuel range oven. We are thinking about a range of a budget circa £1k. Anyone have any experience's. There is a nice SMEG one, but not sure if you'd just be paying for the name. Can't seem to find any reviews anywhere.

We were in the same boat recently after a survey. The survey said there was a possible chance of word worm. The owner couldn't believe it. Survey's are a lot of covering the surveryors back. We glad we did it, but were shocked at the stuff that came out. The windows were less than 10 years old, good job done, but the survey said they needed replacing because they weren't child safe. Seriously, is any window really child safe?! I would take a lot of it with a pinch of salt.

I'd quite happily enter for a six figure + fee...
