Ever since Microsoft released MSE, I've not felt the need to install any 3rd party Anti-Virus protection. However, recently, I've started to read a lot of negatives both on forums online and in publications like Computer Active and PC Pro about MSE/Windows Defender that it was failing all the Anti-Virus tests and wasn't good enough protection against viruses. I've read counter arguments by Microsoft that the "hate" is simply because they aren't putting in the [wasted] resources to help MSE/Windows Defender pass these Anti-Virus tests/benchmarks to simply make it look good. I've always liked how MSE on XP/7 and Windows Defender on Windows 8.1 simply sits in the background, is very lightweight and doesn't bother me in any way whatsoever compared to a dedicated 3rd party Anti-Virus program. Conversely though, this does make you wonder sometimes if it is actually working! So, the question is, who do we believe? Is MSE/Windows Defender still good enough protection against viruses or is it time to start looking at 3rd party alternatives?

I agree that the McLaren has been the best looking car on the grid for many recent seasons. Especially not going for some of the recent horrible nose shapes!

Is there any chance future lanyards could be made slightly longer in length and maybe thinner in width? The width isn't too bad, but I've always found the EduGeek one slightly short. I don't wanna complain too much about a freebie, but just thought I'd make the suggestion.

Same here. I find no need for the iPad for me personally anymore. The iPhone 6 Plus does everything I want.

Definitely, I highly recommend staying away from the 16GB model as you'll barely be left with any space once you've installed some of the larger sized apps on the AppStore. In addition to the fact that iOS 9 will probably eat in to a huge chunk of space too.

I think you may be a bit mistaken here. Office 365 is a monthly/yearly based subscription model for licensing Office as opposed to buying the license outright from a retailer or volume license program. Office 365 will allow you to download the latest copy of Office (2013 as of writing) to your PC and will always allow you to install the latest version at the time of a valid subscription. As opposed to buying Office outright or via Select VL which only allows you to install the purchased version of Office, but there is no subscription. As a benefit to subscribing to Office 365, you will get some additional features like increased OneDrive storage, free Skype minutes etc. I'm presuming you are thinking of Office 365 for Education since you are posting here. In which case, you will also get the option of running Exchange and SharePoint in the cloud, as opposed to having to need a server onsite. I've got an iPhone 6 Plus. Definitely the best phone I have had to date. Prior to this I had an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and before that was a Nokia N73 running Symbian (Anyone remember that?!) Anyway, back on track, I bought both the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus on release day. The 6 was for my wife, the 6 Plus for me. I was daunted by the size of the box for a few minutes, but once I got using the phone, I was pretty much used to it within 15 minutes. Now, I look back at an iPhone 4 and can't believe how I managed! A teacher asked me to put in the WiFi password on her iPhone 4 the other day and I found it very awkward to type on such a tiny screen. I use my wife's iPhone 6 every so often and I even find that small and much prefer the size of the 6 Plus. I definitely say go for it, but you do have the luxury of trying before you buy by going to an Apple Store, I bought mine on release date so had to kinda measure up against my friends Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and I cut out a paper template to show the wife what she'd be getting in comparison to mine!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything in terms of ready to eat. Usually find myself getting put off by all the chemicals and funny words in the ingredients. Lately, whilst the wife has been out I've been rustling up really really basic things like boiled egg on 1 seeded brown toast. Maybe use the gluten free healthy peanut butter and add some spinach on top. The peanut butter helps you to feel full too. If it's too dry, you can add a tiny bit of tomato ketchup. Fast food and not too unhealthy!

Still doesn't make sense why you think I need a £1000 upgrade on my rig. It'll handle the new GTA V just fine according to Game Debate. And I'm still running everything on stock too!

Yeah, my "gaming" PC was more a multi function device. As in, a bit of gaming, but also a lot of general work, so multi-tasking is essential for me.

Is an i3 suitable for a gaming PC? I wouldn't look any lower than an i5 if really on a budget, but for a gaming PC, I'd go no lower than an i7 personally. My signature has the specs of the PC that I built back in 2011.

I just purchased some Linx 7 and Linx 10 tablets. They all came with a complimentary 1 year Office 365 license. Is it possible to sell these licenses to recoup some of the cost of the tablets? As far as I'm aware, there is no product key, it just says it wants to be activated.

But what about for schools who don't have an Office 365 tenant? It's not clear from there how to sign up...

Do we need Office 365 at our school to qualify? From my reading of the initial blog post, it appeared that we didn't need Office 365 in order for the teachers/staff to self register.
