In my previous place we had a plethora of servers, all named by the Network Manager at the time, after Greek mythological characters, in celebration of the Olympics returning to their home land in 2004 (when we set up the new domain) Domain: Olympus.local (Vanilla Windows Server 2003 - Oh how I miss vanilla!) Athena (First DC) Apollo (Second DC) Installed at a later date: Zeus (Third DC and Multimedia Server) Artemis (Xserve) Odysseus (MacMini Server when the above died!) Prometheus (Can't remember what this was for!) Hera (Backup Server) Hermes (Remote Access Server) Ares (Exchange Server) Eros (FTP Server - I'm sure that's the God of lust and erotica! Dunno what he was thinking about when naming that for a school!) Metis (File Server) We also had a separate SIMS server boringly called -SIMS. Why on Earth we ended up with so many servers I'll never know, but alas, it worked until RM came in and ripped it all out. Some pretty, pretty, powerful HP G6s some with at least 16GB RAM and a few TBs of hard disks just sitting in a store cupboard gathering dust since 2013. My request to salvage them for use in my charity school was denied

What you're saying seems to be in contradiction to what Google and Microsoft told me at BETT in that all data meets the EU Safe Harbour policies which makes it safe for schools to use it. The LGfL also confirmed this is the case. From what you're saying, technically, this would make Office 365 a problem for all schools too right?

Yeah, I installed it on my MacBook Pro. I've always found battery drains a lot faster on Boot Camp than it does when running OS X.

I was running 9926 on Boot Camp with no issues. Performance was good and the experience was pretty much as smooth as Windows 8.1. I decided to to a fresh install of 10041 but it was completely terrible from the outset. The inital configuration after the install was terrible. The cursor would take about a minute to appear on each screen. Finally when booted up, even after the installation of the Boot Camp control panel and drivers, the performance was terrible and very very laggy. I was hoping performance would improve or at least remain the same as 9926. Has anyone else had any experiences with Boot Camp?

Maybe Chrome and IE have OCSP disabled by default?

Yeah, correcting the date solved the issue. I have no idea how or why the date changed, but I've corrected it now and all is good again!

I've noticed an issue in the last couple of days on my home PC. My default browser is Firefox and it's stopped opening certain pages correctly and in some cases not at all. Tried to view Twitter.com (https) and TheVerge.com (not https) and this is what I am getting... The Verge: Twitter: And certain https pages won't open at all. For example, the Mozilla support pages (https://support.mozilla.org/) give me the following error message: All the pages work fine in IE and Chrome. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox (also deleting the profile folder from %APPDATA%) with no luck. Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Fair enough. Point taken and quite convincingly so! [emoji12] However, I picked up several Linx 8 and 10s for £49 and £79 respectively back in December in a Staples offer. So when you consider the price vs spec, it is a seriously decent tablet. I've been using them for quite some time now and they are very use able robust devices. The Linx forums are also good for how to get Windows 10 TPs running. I'm sure there will be an update once it is officially released.

I'm just wondering why anyone would get one of these compared to the much cheaper, similarly spec'd Linx 10?

It's annoying that they've done both the curriculum and services conferences on the same day! Some of us need to be there for both. As awesome as I am, even I can't be in 2 places at the same time! [emoji12]

Maybe electrical burn is the wrong word. Mildly smokey smell? I have a Corsair 620W modular PSU in there. Do I need to upgrade it?
