Ridiculous... And to think, only a few days after some bloke accidently deleted his entire company with an erroneous script.

I've tested it on other domain PCs I have. It's working fine, although they are on Windows 7 and I am on Windows 10 (Standalone PC). Both going through the proxy. I can't bypass the proxy on an LGfL connection, but it's clear it's not the proxy. So, the question is, what is it on my PC that could be causing it?

I've been using Firefox as my browser of choice for a while now and haven't had any issues at all with it. However, in the last week, I've noticed that certain websites are now not loading correctly or in some cases even at all. E.g. The BBC website loads, but none of the images or videos load. However, if I go directly to a video link, they play fine. It's not affecting Chrome or Edge, websites work 100% fine using those browsers. But, Firefox is acting funny. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, deleted my profile and started fresh with no extensions. I've even tried the x64 version of Firefox. Still the same. Any ideas?

With the release of iOS 9.3 yesterday, Apple have released the accompanying Classroom app on the App Store. It needs an MDM configuration profile, but I'm not quite sure how to do this yet. I'm using Cisco Meraki and I'm planning to update all my devices to iOS 9.3 next week. Has anyone seen any documentation about MDM configuration for this?

Their customer service has been attrocious. It doesn't help that most of them are script junkies. I was a recipient on one of their infamous letters last week saying that they'll be kicking me off The One Plan and giving me the wonderful loyalty benefit of £3/Month discount for Unlimited Mins/Texts and Data. In the end, I called up and finally got them down to Unlimited Mins/Texts and 8GB Data for £13/Month. It's not ideal, but it'll do and way cheaper than anything anyone else could offer me. I really didn't want to have to keep an eye on what data I am using, but seeing as unlimited data is too expensive, I guess I'll have to keep on top of the usage. I just wish the other networks start offering unlimited data again soon to make them more attractive an option. For now, I guess it's better to stay with 3 and enjoy the use of my Home Signal Box (femtocell) in my office which allows me to get full coverage. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, I've noticed them do this in the past too.

It's a plausible explaination, but it would be very poor of them to just tarnish every single Android user with the same brush. I would suspect there are more Windows pirates than Android. It's just the Fire Stick scheme has made more money out of the simplicity. The hardware specific optimisations of SPMC would definitely help the Fire Stick pirate community, but there must be millions out there who use Android and don't pirate a thing, with or without Kodi. If it was really such a big problem, it's interesting to see why Amazon haven't done anything to stop it, other than the fact it boosts an awful lot of sales of Fire Sticks for them! Sure, they removed Kodi from the Amazon App Store, but they aren't oblivious to the sideloading fuctionality.

This is gonna be an interesting turn of events, especially with the Android version of Kodi being rather big in the Amazon Fire TV Stick community (for reasons we won't go in to!) I really wish they would release a version for the Samsung Tizen platform! Would love to control Kodi with my TV remote as opposed to the iPhone app connecting to the installation on my PC.

So, I finally got the dreaded letter from Three that they are going to move me from "The One Plan" to their new top "All You Can Eat" tier at £30/Month. But for loyalty, they will give me a HUGE discount of £3/Month! The price hike is definitely gonna hurt as I had managed to get them to discount my current tariff down to £10/Month due to issues with coverage at home and work. But luckily, I managed to get them to give me a Home Signal Box which has worked wonders. I did make use of a lot of data and tethering, so I would like to stay unlimited, but there aren't that many options left now with other networks. Phone calls, I would need maybe around 600 to 1000 mins. Anyone know of any options?

No, our school domain also ends in .sch.uk, but wasn't pre-approved. It would make sense to pre-approve all .sch.uk domain names!

We don't actually use the email at the state school as we use the LGfL Staff Mail, but I'm using it at my other school. Is the Azure RMS free as well?

Yeah, I've had a tenancy both with and without Office 365 Pro Plus for a long time, but the Education Plus licenses just didn't appear on either until the Microsoft Rep added them in for me.

I've always had Office 365 ProPlus, but the staff couldn't self sign on until I got the Office 365 Education Plus added on.

@Arthur, how did you get the "Office 365 Education Plus for Students/Faculty" added to your tenancy? It wasn't until I had spoken to the Microsoft contact I met at BETT and he activated it for me that I was able to get it added in to the tenancy therefore allowing my staff to self sign up.

I just can't justify paying over a grand to watch some sports and films in what should be a standard quality, when you add up all the costs for mobile telephone, broadband and other essentials. It's just too high!

Currently we use AB Tutor Control to screen share and do teacher demonstrations to student PCs in our ICT Suite. However, it is completely impossible to demo any video using this method. The video just ends up completely choppy and goes frame by frame. Also, there is a highly noticeable frame lag too when it comes to screen demonstrations as well, even when the teacher moves the mouse or switches from one application to the next. Is there any (reasonably priced) software available out there that will allow us to successfully demonstrate video and general applications without this lag? I'm not too fussed about sound as this can play from the speakers from the teacher PC audio out.

That's just it, don't have static virtual controls. Use gestures and swipes. But I didn't say limit the games to phones. It's an option and a highly viable one to make them some proper money. And if you really want hardware, they could release like a controller housing unit for the phone. Logitech were gonna do something similar. The point is giving the users that want them the games and not forcing another fail of a console down their throats. As for the bag, it can be as big or as little as you like, but a lot of people simply don't want to carry one at all.

I wrote a post in a forum back in 2005 asking "if nostalgia was the way forward for Sonic and Mario" and I still think this would apply to this day. Nintendo really needs to get off it's high horse of trying to impose what it wants on the market. It hasn't worked for them, for many years and where it might have worked, it wasn't sustainable. Look at the Wii - It took the market by storm with it's cheap price tag and motion sensor gameplay that allowed even granny and grandad to get involved in gaming. Sure, it was fun for all of 2 months, but once the initial hype died away, and you realised that other than Wii Sports and Wii Play and a few other select games, there wasn't much for the hardcore gamer (which is where the real money is!). Indy game studios have never been able to release on recent Nintendo consoles and simply put they couldn't match the power of the Playstation and Xbox. Sega kinda got it right going down the software route, but even then, they need to play on their strengths. Just do a Google search on Sonic remake and you'll be plastered with sites and dead projects. Give the gamers what they want. A proper Sonic remake and then a proper new game, following the old mechanics. Not the flop that was Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode Blah Blah Blah! I don't understand Sega and Nintendo's thinking. If they simply released a back to basics game across ALL platforms, PC, PS4, Xbox, iOS, Android the sales would go nuts! Not some stupid Freemium game where you have to pay for power-ups and whatnot, no, a simple pay once, play like 100 levels game. The work is practically done for them! In this day and age, with the equipment they have available they should be able to knock something like that out in a matter of months! Don't try to compete with Sony and Microsoft, you've done it before, look how that worked out. Don't try to take on Activision, EA, 2K, Konami, Rockstar and all the other super graphics 3D gaming publishers, it's not working for you. Go back to basics, go 2D (or even 2.5D), go mobile platform, and sit down and count the money away. The trouble is, Nintendo won't listen. I really don't think people want another DS or NX or even a Game Boy! People have enough mobile devices already than to have to worry about charging another. I have a phone in my pocket that is probably far greater in power and performance than any of your previous handheld consoles, it has an App Store, let me download your games and play them. Personally, I think this is the only way they can survive.

Wow, doesn't seem to get much simpler than that! Despite the name it works for both videos and photos.
