So, I finally succumbed the cash and installed GTA 5 yesterday. I thought I had a pretty decent PC (specs in sig), my graphics card failed, but I nicked an identical one from my brother. When I switched the game on, my first horror was that I couldn't run it at 1080p. The max I could go up to was 1680 x 1050 and pretty much all the rest of the quality turned down. No biggie I thought. The game seems to play fine with the odd occasional graphical flicker. However, what worried me though is that after about 15 minutes of game play, my whole living room stunk of electrical burn. It was quite clear that GTA was taking my GeForce 560Ti to it's limits. Now, my concern is, is continuous play going to wreck my graphics card? Or even worse my whole PC! All components are running at stock. I've never overclocked anything in the PC, even though I have a Corsair H70 cooler on the CPU. Do I need to get additional fans or coolers for the graphics card? I have 3 fans running at medium setting in my Antec P183 case. Ideally, I don't want to purchase a new graphics card right now as I am trying to save up for a new TV!

Great points above, but have to say that whatever ecosystem you chose to move to, you are locked in. Whether it be Apple AppStore, Google Play or Windows Store. The only shining light seems to be that with Windows 10 we will soon have 1 store for all devices and it's highly likely that we will all still use PCs so it's most open to all.

But that doesn't justify violence... I could say installing Windows Updates on a mission critical server is heat of the moment! Does that mean I can get violent and only expect a 3 day work ban?

Ok, I didn't intend for it to come off that way! I agree, it isn't acceptable anywhere. I was just trying to highlight that it's funny that it never seems to be an issue in football, when I agree that it should be an issue. There are very little occasions when violence on the pitch have been investigated by the CPS. Why isn't this made in to such a big issue?

lol! I never said I agreed with it at all! I'm just stating how it doesn't appear to be an issue when it comes to footballers, but it does with everyone else. I love football, don't get me wrong, but I've never agreed with any aspect of the top end of the sport. How we can justify salaries of £300,000/week for kicking a ball once or twice a week for an hour and a half and even then they complain of exhaustion, jadedness and fatigue! It's just funny how Clarkson hit someone in anger and then all hell broke lose. Luis Suarez bit 3 different people, allegedly racially abused another and is a down right cheat (many dives and THAT handball against Ghana in the 2010 World Cup) and yet is still allowed to play the game at the highest level. Just don't understand how people don't see things in perspective!

Isn't it funny that footballers and other sports people get in to all sorts of fracas in their "working environment" every week or so. (Or in the case of Roy Keane, ending someones career once in a while!) But no one calls for them to be fired! A simple red card and 3 match ban and it's all good again! Maybe Clarkson should have bitten Tymon! Top Gear would have gone on a 6 month break and he'd be back in the new year!

I would like to purchase a 40" television. My budget is around £250 but the maximum I am able to stretch to is £300. I'm not interested in any Smart TV features as my TV will be permanently connected to my PC which has DVI & HDMI output on a GeForce GTX 560Ti graphics card. The main use will be for Freeview HD, but I like to use it as a PC in the evenings for browsing (yes, I have used a 40" TV at 1080p resolution with Windows and I am happy with it!) and PC games like FIFA 15 & GTA 5 (Once it is finally released for the PC!) Ideally I would like to get a TV with 4 HDMI inputs as I would like to keep the following devices connected at all times: PC Mac Mini PS3 Occasionally a MacBook Pro Something very important to me is the need for a responsive Freeview HD EPG system, as we use this quite extensively. Also, I would like to buy a model that will allow me to easily update the firmware (either via USB or better still, WiFi) so that I can always experience the best performance with the TV. I've always been inclined towards Samsung TV's in the past, but happy to look to other manufacturers is the model is good! So, any suggestions?

I'm an iOS person all the way. I own an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB and recommend it highly! Personally I'm not a fan of Android. The One M8 is definitely a nicely designed phone, but I just don't like the platform. If you must go down the Android route, I'd look no further than the OnePlus One.

Is there anyway I can get the file paths and file names to display to a TXT file?

I have noticed that the server space on our Windows network is getting very low. So I have agreed with SLT to have a look to see if I can archive off files that haven't been accessed in over 2 years. Is it possible to write a script (maybe using Robocopy?) that will scan for files that haven't been accessed in 2 years, output the names and file paths to a text file, copy these files to an external hard drive and then delete them from the network?
