Are you in a Virgin area? I'd definitely go with them to nullify the line sync issues. I don't live too far from the exchange, but I was told that I'd only get 65Mbps down. It was a no brainer for me.

I've been with Virgin for over 2 years now. I'm currently on the 152Mbps package for £25/Month (Retention Deal - Effective £23/Month) and I don't have much trouble with it at all. Had the odd hiccup hear and there but nothing worse than what I got with Be previously, who are now owned by Sky.

A local charity that I work for would like to live stream their speeches and lectures over the Internet. At the moment they are streaming using local radio frequencies, but can anyone advise how this can be streamed over the Internet.

I think Columbia have been very impressive. However, I think France haven't had too much of a challenge so far. The teams they've played have been mediocre at best. They exploited Switzerland's frailties which is what I think made them park the bus against Argentina. Germany certainly showed their potential against Portugal and have faced an inspired Ghana, USA and Algeria side who were happy to go out at it hammer and tong. France certainly won't go for the all guns blazing approach against Germany and I think that might just play in to Germany's hands. Ozil really did have a shocker against Algeria though and I'd consider dropping him against France. I still think they need to play with a striker up front, but the only recognised person they have for that role is Klose and he doesn't look like he can do 90 minutes.

I though Mario and Sonic were challenging enough games at the time when I played them back in the 90's. In fact, they are still pretty challenging when I play them today. I though New Super Mario Bros Wii was pretty challenging too, but I guess it felt easier because most of us are older than the original target audience. I still can't believe how those guys do those speed runs without using any power ups or losing any lives. Crazy!

I read an article on the BBC that it could be a 24 match or 2 year ban. Definitely hope they throw the book at him and make it the latter as both International and Domestic. It's a sad state of affairs with the newer tablets and smartphones that most will have the same lack of repairability as they get smaller and more compact. It kinda ensures that you are forced to go back to the manufacturer for expensive repairs!

The best cheap alternative would be a Raspberry Pi with Raspbmc - You can pick up a full kit from CPC for £50. If you want a more powerful altertive that as zag said about look at the Intel NUC, but it is a lot more expensive.

I remember back in 2006 the cable red button options for BBC had: BBC TV Commentary BBC 5 Live Commentary Comedy Commentary No Commentary - Stadium Atmosphere I don't have cable anymore, so Freeview only has the 5 Live commentary option. It might be bad, but it doesn't bother me too much! I do like listening to the 5 Live commentary during the SuperBowl rather than those drab Americans!

Most of the commentary seems to be poor this time round. I don't actually mind Clive and Andy, but Phil Neville was rather poor during the England game. I think worst so far was Jonathan Pearce and how he completely screwed up that goal line technology moment! Adrian Chiles must be the most battered man on the planet though, I used to feel sorry for him, but he's got gradually worse in the last few months! I was amazed at how delighted people on Twitter got when Gary Bloom covered the Ivory Coast vs Japan 2am kick off. I don't think he was actually working for ITV and they were just using the FIFA world feed. But kudos to him, he covered the whole match without a co-commentator and it was a nice nostalgia moment to the days of Football Italia. Loved how he never once referred to Ivory Coast as Ivory Coast and instead stuck with Côte d'Ivoire! I miss that good old days of John Motson and Barry Davies, although when you think about it, they were probably worse than the current crop! I'd say that BBC's current main man Guy Mobray seems to be the best of the bunch, but he needs to be paired with a good co-commentator. Phil Neville was rather poor, Lawro is starting to lose it and Savage yesterday was a bit OTT, but not too bad... It was just a bit cringeworth when Mobray was telling him off for shouting!
