  1. Sorry, don't have a cd but you should have access to the Adobe Licencing Portal and from within there should be able to download the media if that helps? https://licensing.adobe.com
  2. Thanks for that, I really appreciate it and it's just what I need!
  3. lol, sorry! Your too right, haven't stopped since everyone came back in September, I'm about ready to collapse
  4. I don't think you can just reinstall without removing it unless it changed recently? I think last time I tried it (admittedly a while ago) Solus3 just complained that a Solus Agent was already installed.
  5. I know the feeling too! Please vote for Change Request 1208-1129641
  6. I editted the macro in the 2003 template, not sure if you can do the same in 2010 (with the macro security, haven't tested it yet).
  7. Sorry, been one of those days.... Add the driver to your basket on the catalog and download and you should have a cab file. I then use 7zip to unzip the cab keeping the folder structure and then install the driver as you normally would. Hope that makes sense. If it doesn't work, I found my initial testing folder and that just had the Windows Vista driver in it and that works without a hitch too
  8. I pulled mine off the Microsoft Update Catalog and they've been working quite happily - it's a pain to install some times because it insists on sitting on search windows update for a long time for some reason, but once you get an unknown device it's simple enough: Microsoft Update Catalog
  9. Thanks. Will enable it then and see how it goes.
  10. Thanks for the replies. So would I get any benefit from enabling LACP on each end of the trunk?
  11. Hi all Just a quick query - I've trunked the ports between our main switches in the IT rooms (HP 2510's) and our current core switch (HP 2910al) but just left them as a standard trunk in the configuration and everything seems to be working fine which means I'm happy. When I trunked the ports to the terminal server I used LACP and configured the server the same (seemed to be the recommended way of doing it) - should I configure the links between the switches with LACP or just leave them as a trunk? What is the benefit/downside of doing it either way? Cheers!
  12. I'd be interested if you do find out if/how to do this - it's one of the reasons I haven't done it.
  13. Our App locker policy for the shared program drive is just configured as a Allow Everyone path of \\server03\apps\* You haven't got a deny rule in there somewhere in the Applocker policy have you that might be claiming precedence?
  14. Try running through these Microsoft Fixit's: Automatically fix Windows security settings to keep your PC safe Fix the problem with Microsoft Windows Update that is not working How do I reset Windows Update components? (This one in particular)
  15. I've just gone through a mass deployment of Windows 7 this summer (every desktop) so it's unlikely to be anytime within the next year. To be fair, I'm not going to say never, however it's unlikely to be any time soon unless there's a pressing need to.
  16. WDS sets a master machine for the deployment speed, if it picks a 100MB machine as the master, then that is the speed it will send the image out. I spotted in our WDS server options yesterday there is the option to create multiple streams (so a slow/medium/fast or a slow/fast stream) which will group the machines together while sending the image. We still had the issue regradless of whether the computers being imaged went through an unmanaged switch or not (we tested it by plugging the computer being imaged by multicast straight into the core as well, but it still flooded the rest of the network for some reason), the only way it worked properly was when every unmanaged switch was disconnected while the multicasting was taking place.
  17. Got mine fixed today, despite applying the target hotfix, my Solus 3 version numbers my deployment server were still missing from the database.
  18. I had this with plain WDS - I fixed it by disconnecting any unmanaged switches/hubs (because I haven't been able to get rid of all of them yet) which meant cutting off over half the network at the core, but might be worth a test if there are any on your network. Means I can't use multicasting most of the time, but atleast it got the bulky areas of computers done so that going room to room atleast the image download was staggard enough not to grind to a halt.
  19. You could look to see if you could buy some new cables for the KVM which went to USB instead of PS2 like @Plexar says - not sure how old or what brand your current KVM is? The new Belkin one we bought has a mixture of the 2 in it.
  20. Wonder if that's whats causing mine. Had to ask Capita to call back because today's the one day I've taken off.
  21. I had the same problem, it didn't work with the PS2 -> USB adapters I bought from Maplins so ended up buying a new KVM. Temporarily though, I just kept a usb keyboard and mouse next to the server and plugged them into which ever server I needed at the time. Not tidy or pretty but it did the job.
  22. I logged a call saying I get that error after deploy 118, the guy who looked at it said nothing to worry about, you can redeploy it through here. Out comes 119 and I can't deploy it, so mine's been escalated up today as well. Didn't have time to try the Summer v4 today, so that will be Mondays job (oh the joy!)
  23. Groupcall Emerge would achieve it (I keep considering it for our PE department) but has extra licencing costs associated with it.
  24. Cheers guys Daft question now, what's the name of the download in the VLSC? I seem to have 3 different options within it, partly caused by a misconfigured Open Agreement I think which still hasn't been fixed. Cheers again!
  25. Hi all Just a quick one - we have an EES agreement in place so have the Client Licences for Endpoint Protection so am thinking about rolling it out to some of our lower spec pc's which Sophos kills completely as a trial. This is probably a daft question, but if I were to do this, do I need any other licences or subscriptions or is it all included from there? I realise the main management side of it is through SCCM (which is the eventual aim over the next year) but other then that.... anything? Cheers!
