Another Problem we have is pupils always seem to find sites to watch films on. we block them straight away, every time. Technology is so good the students are starting to save films on there cloud storage and playing them through there. Has anyone else had this problem?

We have tried blocking the specific address but it just doesn't block? have you managed to block it.

What filtering system do you currently have, we currently use lightspeed system and we are not able to block this site without blocking google.

We are the same here, we block all games but there are a few sites we can't block and the pupils know we can't block them so they are the only ones they use. This site for example https://sites.google.com/site/millseagles/

If you still need any help with this i might be able to. We have a code which we use to change all licenses for all users in office 365. I would post on here but i can't seem to find the part where you can copy and paste code.

Did you ever get this sorted? We use Eclipse.net for our library software and its so much easier having it in the cloud. Support has always been good to us but they can sometimes be very slow in responding to request.

Good Afternoon, Has anyone had to install this software for Computing students to use? If so, how did you go about installing it, was it easy or hard. I have just been asked to install this for students to use and i have just created a group policy for this to be installed but is proving very difficult at this time. Do you also have to create a SQL Database on the server that the students can connect to with this software. Thank-you

Good Afternoon, I have a D-LINK DWL-2000AP+ Router sat in my office collecting dusk. We don't have any wireless around the site expect some small routers, which we allow staff to access. I would like to put this router over in the art block but there's a problem. I have turned it on and connected it to our network, The name for the device is default and there is currently no password protection. I need to connect to the GUI to change the name and put a password on but can i hell find the IP address of the router. I have checked DHCP for a IP Address but there is nothing there, I have used the MAC address of the device and assigned it an IP but still nothing. I have tried every external IP i can think of and i have tried connecting it to a laptop and doing IPCONFIG but it just gives me our default Gateway IP. Anyone else got any tips or ideas to try? Any help is greatly received enjoy your evening.

Could you not just deny all colour printing on certain printers. for example in the library we have a colour printer but it will only allow B/W printing. If someone wants colour then they have to print to another printer in the school and go and collect it themselves.

Good Morning Edugeek, I have been asked by the headteacher to look a issue which has only just been found. Basically a parent rang the school and told them that her son's friends has been accessing eportal and looking at details of different students. I have looked at the pupils internet history but i can't seem to see anything there, is there any way to pull a list of how many times a certain member of staff has logged into eportal. Good Evening all, I have been asked to look into buying a new phone recording system. Currently we have a oak system which and we use a old computer (windows xp) to download recordings we need. I have told them we need to update the machine to windows 7 or newer and i have been given a quote for around £2000 to have everything updated and new software installed. My Line manager wants to compare this with a brand new phone recording system and i am unsure what companies offer this. what system do you use and whats the best one to choose?

Thanks for the reply Matt_Renato I am not very good at doing powershell scripts yet but i am trying to learn. This one i am trying to do is the biggest one i have done so far. I have learned how to create groups and delete users using powershell but can't seem to figure out this one. please see attached image of my script so far.

Reading some of the comments on here has made me think. Quite sad to think what could have happened if the school was fully open. I should start considering speaking to my line manager about cloud back-ups. Currently we have our Back-up server in the server room which i know is not right but it was there since i started working there 3 years ago. Hi There, I have been asked to create 582 External contacts in office 365. Once i have created the contacts in office 365 i will then move them to a group so the headteacher can email everyone at once. I know this can be done using powershell but I can't seem to get it right. If there any powershell wizards on here that can help me to import the contacts via CSV file onto office 365. P.S - I have already created the CSV File with 2 contacts to test for the time being and i have he required fields. "ExternalEmailAddress" , "Name" , "FirstName" , "Last Name" Thank-you in advance.

A bit random but I was just making a list of daily and weekly tasks that I have to do and though I would ask you guys. What sort of things do you do. For example a daily task would be check all back-ups are working,CCTV system is live and recording, Telephone system is recording.
