  1. Wasn't sure if people were aware but Avantis has stopped production of their fantastic wireless charging setup for iPads called ClassCharge due to lack of interest and while also focusing on their VR Solution. We have been offered an alternative with ZIOXI Classroom Solutions which look similar bar the fact they are not wireless charging. Is anyone aware of any alternatives that do offer wireless charging?
  2. Also on this it would be interesting to hear how Airwatch works with non Android Enterprise compared to Android phones that have enterprise. Our Android devices are cheap and cheerful and are not enterprise but are on 7.0 and up. I have noticed that some features are not supported already in a current trial...
  3. @steveg We have found that their sales team are slow as well, we chased them for a quote and ended up going through Albion who got a quote to us on the day we contacted them.
  4. Hi All,We are currently reviewing our MDMs with an aim to reduce overhead and bring 3 systems down into 2. Currently, we run a mix of Apple’s Profile manager for our Macs and AppleTVs, Lightspeed MDM for our iPads and Mobile Iron (Provided by our phone network EE) for our iPhones… and it’s a Little bit of a mess and REALLY needs to be consolidated and re-organised.We have whittled down lots of options and obtained pricing for our shortlisted options. Ultimately, we have made our decision but I just wanted to get a feeler for what the community opinions / reviews on Airwatch and Jamf Pro (Was Casper). We are planning on using Jamf for all our Apple Devices (iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, Apple TV and iPhone via the Device Enrolment Program), and Airwatch for our small fleet of Android PhonesI am ideally looking for those schools using these systems or with past experiences of the systems so we get an idea of what we are getting ourselves into.Any comments gratefully received including Support Experiences, Updates, Features, installation, Management etc. Thanks in advance!
  5. The account is set up as IMAP, we've tried the deletion of the account off the iPhone but no luck. I haven't checked the users OWA so will try looking at that.
  6. Hi all, Got a bizarre issue here, we have a Senior Member of the School Team who has had issues over the past few weeks where her iPhone will not update and sync the latest information that she inputs onto Outlook. It started off as just notes not syncing but now it appears to be meetings as well. Not only is it the iPhone it's also their iPad and if they make changes on the iPhone or iPad the PC does not sync as well. I've checked all the settings on their iPhone and Outlook profile and nothing looks out of the ordinary. They have a lot on their calendar which may affect it but any input would be greatly appreciated.
  7. That would be brilliant, thank you. Do you know what sort of price the media department want for it?
  8. Hi Ian, We are currently looking at purchasing a school radio through schoolradio.com but if you have better and cheaper equipment we would consider it. What equipment are you selling? Liam
  9. I've tried the restart and it still does the same thing. I've not looked into the possibilities of a corrupt profile or going to sleep mode, I'll take a look into it.
  10. I'm having a torrid time upgrading to Windows 10 I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10 Education on a Zoostorm Model Number 9876-2212/A. The overall install is fine, works perfectly and can connect to the domain with ease. However once I apply the group policy things go south. I can log in fine but as soon as I log out once the screen turns on and off intermittently with the screen being black when on and can move the cursor around. It's about 5 seconds between turning on and off. I've tried looking at the BIOS settings, trying to log in blind and completely wiping the PC and starting again and it's still the same issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm at my wits end with this!
  11. Thanks for the advice all. I think we are heading in the way of if someone reports it to us we try our best to prevent access. Our main issue here now, which has sprung quite recently, is kids bringing in games on a memory stick and loading them onto their profiles. Main culprits here are Counter-Strike, Soldat etc. How are you preventing these instances happening? Are you using group policy or another approach?
  12. It would be great to provide feedback on how NetSupport is compared as we are struggling with Impero also at the moment. We don't plan to switch till next year due to budget but it would be interesting to hear others experience of NetSupport.
  13. What are people's policies on games within schools? At the moment we allow them to play on games on the internet during lunch time. If we see the site during lesson it immediately gets banned. We are having problems though with some students doing absolutely anything to get on games. We are thinking of having no games on the internet and perhaps hosting our own games on certain lunchtimes that we can control e.g. Minecraft Edu Just wondering on how everybody manages games within their school.
