Was that a Unified Communications cert or just a bog-standard one?
-
You don't have to - you can get an SSL cert from anyone you like, it doesn't have to be the same provider that you use for domains. I didn't have great experiences with Bluehost during my time as a web developer, personally I'd look elsewhere. EDIT: Also, your website being hosted elsewhere doesn't matter. I'm assuming your HAP server is going to be internal, and using a subdomain of your school's domain (i.e. hap.school.county.sch.uk or something like that)?

We get ours from GoDaddy - they do educational/academic discount and we've not had any issues with them.

I know it's possible to copy the first lesson mark to the session in Lesson Monitor, but is it possible to mark a student as 'present' for a session if they have any present marks for the relevant session? This is for our Sixth Formers, who don't necessarily have to be in school for every period if they don't have a timetabled lesson - however we don't want them being marked as 'absent' for statistical purposes. Thanks in advance.

My reaction to these was along these lines: Please get a screenshot of that email, the Internet needs to see...

Muppets. Their responses are ridiculous almost to the point of not even being wrong, let alone not being right. Please do tell us who they are, as has been mentioned you may well save someone else the same hell.

ExamQuest OCR AS/A Level Chemistry A installer needed
FishCustard replied to randle's topic in Educational Software
When you say that it's not a contained install, what exactly do you mean? Where does it shove its stuff? -
Point them to twinkl.co.uk - pretty much the same thing without any murkiness.

I just called the support line (0845 404 0000) and logged a call that way. If I didn't hear back from them/get a satisfactory answer, I kept prodding until the call was escalated. (or is this what you've been doing!) -

Will do so tomorrow (nice to know I'm not the only late-night coder... )

I'm going by what is in CodePlex, although knowing nothing about your codebase I'm probably looking in completely the wrong place for the relevant lines! I saw that function call in MyFiles/API.cs, Zip function.

Is zipping a folder and all contents supported? It seems to be implemented - does the ZipFile.AddDirectory() method not work? Thanks!

You don't need to sort by class in the report, as once you've got the data into Excel you can just sort the class code column (or have I got the wrong end of the stick?) -

Absolutely. Security by obscurity is no security at all really...

We securely bag it, seal the bags and then seal the bags in a box and send it off to a company along with our regular empty toner cartridges.
-
Well you can always just empty the waste toner bottle at the same time... most of them have a flap that you can pull back. Just do it outside into a thick plastic bag (oh, and wear gloves!)
-
It's quite a small tin, 10 x 5 x 2 cm, but then 6125 cartridges are much smaller than average too...

You know, I think you might be on to something there. *puts on tin foil hat*
