I'm one of those freaky people who gets by just fine on 4-5 hours of sleep a night, but I'm certainly starting to feel tired earlier. If you want to get more functionally-awake time, make sure you're drinking enough water - even slight dehydration can have a surprising effect on alertness. It's also generally best to eat small amounts of food regularly rather than two or three larger meals, as the more food you eat in one go, the sleepier you'll feel afterwards. Obviously this may not be possible for practical or medical reasons, but if you can do it, give it a go.

Apologies for raising this thread from its grave, but in case anyone else is searching for guidance on how to get SIMS LG to work following a SQL migration, the attached PDF might be useful. You have to make some changes to the config files the SLG connector uses (swapping SERVER\SIMS2008 out for SERVER\SIMS2012 in my case), and then submit a ticket to Capita so that they can update their end to point to the new SQL instance. Does HAP cache these images at all? If so can the cache be cleared? In the course of testing I tried editing an existing image and the changes didn't seem to show up...!

I get a blank image (no ASP.NET error, but just an image file with nothing in) - is there a specific format the images have to be in? The original is the same size as the in-built tiles.

Yep, the XML tag is: No dashes, underscores or other oddities in the image name either. Is there a way to point it to an absolute image path as a backup?

I've done that (PNG image directly in the image folder, referenced as ~/images/imagename.png) but I just get a blank image in the tile. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm probably being a numpty here (not helped by the fact that I have a cold and therefore my brain feels like a 486 trying to run Windows 8), but I can't seem to figure out how I can set an icon for a custom tile. The icons all seem to be loaded from an /api/... URL - do I need to add my icons to a config file so that they're served up via the API? When I try putting an absolute URI into the HAP crashes as it's expecting a virtual path in that attribute.

I'm pretty sure we bought our Essentials+ Kit from Pugh Computers - worth asking them about it perhaps?

We have an interesting issue in that our network-drive-installed copy of e-Science is refusing to accept the 'teacher' password (simply says 'wrong username or password'), and attempting to change it does not work either - the utility they provide runs and allows you to enter a new password, but it doesn't work! Is there a way of manually changing the password by editing a DB file? I'd really rather not have to install the thing again...

The Silent Hill 1 theme is pretty cool, although perhaps not entirely appropriate (in-context that is - the theme itself is purely instrumental) There are also some awesome anime OSTs out there, and some equally great remixes. They also have the advantage of being rather obscure in the target demographic. I think if anyone recognised this one they'd deserve some sort of prize...

Pretty sure you can use your existing version of Notebook on the C-touch anyway if staff really want to cling to it (if they have resources set up that only work with it for instance) - it's just like a massive touchscreen, shouldn't require anything special.
