Good day to you! I have a two-fold question, which may or may not be a silly one... We're gonna buy a wireless presenter (like this one) for every teacher (or for those who don't already have one) ...so, I was wondering... 1) Are they unique...I mean, what is the chance that neighboring devices could interfere and control one another's Presentations..? 2) How much would they interfere with the 2.4GHz WiFi...is it not worrying about, or is there potential for some conflict? Thank you clever people

Hello wondering if someone could help, We've had a new Wifi solution installed (ubiquity) over the summer holidays. Since having it installed we've been getting so many complaints from Staff and Guests & students also but not too fussed about them about the lack of phone signal around the school. Was perfectly fine before installation. I totally understand that Interference could be a key player but I'm just wondering has anyone else had any issues and how they rectified it. Thanks

Hi everyone, I've got a Dell Vostro 1510 notebook PC here that I'm trying to use with an external 21.5" 16:9 Dell monitor. At least one other staff member is using the same hardware, as they all use a laptop/monitor combo, with their monitor set as the main display when plugged in [although the other staff member with the same hardware has the Nvidia graphics chipset instead of Intel in their 1510]. This laptop [intel graphics chipset] is having some issues though. The user was mentioning horizontal lines going across their external monitor, faintly, but definitely visible and distracting. They weren't solid, they were moving, like they were caused by interference. The laptop itself was having absolutely no issues on its built in display, but when plugged into the external monitor via the laptops VGA port, the external monitor would show the flickering lines. I did notice one interesting point. As soon as I unplug the power adapter from her laptop [a standard 90w Dell power adapter matching in volts/amps], the flickering on the external display stops. Instantly. If I plug the power adapter [or a 65w adapter] back in, the flickering resumes immediately. I doubt this is a driver configuration/version issue, and is probably hardware related, but I thought I'd run it by you guys to see if you have any tips to help get rid of this annoying issue, besides getting another laptop. Thanks!

Hello, I've experienced this before but can't remember why it happens. We have a laptop here in school and the audio is terrible through the speaker system. Plug it into the amp and the volume is very low but when you turn it up you can hear the sound of what sounds like a Spectrum 48K loading a game! Every time you move the mouse- it makes a zzzrzrzrz sound. If you jiggle the jack output it can get a little louder but still awful. Any ideas?! The laptop is a Toshiba.

Hello, I know this has already been mentioned in one of the forums, but I wanted to bring it up again as it’s a great opportunity to hear from GT Hill. If you haven’t heard of GT before it’s worth checking him out on YouTube, he is an extremely knowledgeable guy when it comes to Wi-Fi. He is running a series of free educational webinars about Wi-Fi that will go through the real facts and physics necessary to achieve better Wi-Fi. These educational webinars are designed to teach you, not sell you (too much), on the keys to creating a better Wi-Fi experience for your users. He’ll answer questions like: • Why does signal really matter? • How can you not only deal with Wi-Fi interference but fix it? • Should you wait for 802.11ac Wave 2? • Will MU-MIMO really give me 4x better performance? Good Morning All, So I'm having an issue with my network. I have full bars for many students, but they can't get anywhere online. They constantly get the "This webpage is not available" or "You are not connected to a network". I think that there is an issue with the AT&T and TWC hot spots that are flooding our devices on all 2.4 and many 5.0 channels. I try to block them in intrusion detection, but it seems to make the issue worse. When I look at the device I see that I have users on, but they are only on for a few minutes. There are always 1 or 2 users that are on for 40+ minutes, but the majority seem to on for 1-4 minutes. Also I notice that when I go to see who is online, I'll have a few associated and about 400+ unassociated. Could this be cause my device to be maxed out, even though they aren't officially associated. I figure that there has to be some association because there is a transfer of packets, even though they are minute, which is telling the IAP's that they have reached their max amount. Does this sound possible? Please let me know if you have any advice or info because I'm beating my head against the wall. Thanks Cfinch
