For us we have 80 air servers over bonjour, we have our staff wifi on a seperate vlan so we send bonjour traffic on this vlan only. No issues so far
-
In IOS 8 wifi airplay will be peer to peer, no network required.
-
Don't worry about it as iOS 8 and AppleTV future updates will allow airplay over Bluetooth. Coming sept/Oct this year

Nearpod and live sessions over proxy
ass17 replied to ass17's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Had it confirmed today by a nearpod support agent that they are having issues with live sessions behind a smoothwall box. They haven't a clue what is causing as yet. -
As far as I'm aware your smart advantage subscription is based on a per smartboard basis. So as soon as you image and connect a board a PC, it should be ok even with a previous activated board, assuming they have wrote their software correctly. Would be interested to know the official response thou.

Meru would have cost us £115,000 but we went ruckus for £75,000. 95 APs, two controllers, 15 HP 2920 switches, 5 year premium support. No issues as yet, been in for the last year now.

Hi, We can get nearpod to work over proxy even though it suppose to work on ports 80/443. We even added in the authentication exceptions for the URLS in smoothwall. All other internet services are ok, any help?

SQL is default installation also. Currently we are up to 10GB in resource files
-
The default installation is in program files but the data resources are on a separate drive. This is how we have don't it. Oh, and it's all running in a VM.

One note doesn't work for business/education accounts when creating new notebooks. The login window appears and try's to connect to the personal user live.com site.

You will have to find a UK edu VPP contact number and give them a ring. We still use credit card so I cannot provide much more than I have so far, sorry -
Apple IPad VPP buying licencese using school Purchase Orders
ass17 replied to SimpleSi's topic in Licensing Questions
You have to contact Apple directly, they will give you details of where to send your Purchase Order to. Then they will credit your VPP account with "VPP Credit" to buy apps. -
One of the only softwares that reports job print 100% accurately. Most print management record jobs as they hit the spooler and doesn't care if it actually prints or not. Papercut talks direct to the printer to check if the job has been printed.

We have one sender and 6 receivers. To run best quality picture and/or video we make sure that the sender and receivers are on Gigabit switch ports.
-
We also use HDMI over cat5 for our hall projector, the run is about 40mtrs.
-
we use HDMI over Ethernet Sender and multiple receiver boxes behind each TV.
