This feature is for mock exams to distinguish whether ET is need for future exams. It will not be used for final exams.

Have you done an AP hard reset on each? We had the same issue and had to reset them.

So what is the correct way to install a Windows Store App for 'All logged in users' to use, for example AirServer? I've read about people using fiddler to get the Appx file from the Windows Stor and then using DISM /Add-ProvisionedAppxPackage to install the app for all users. Surely there is an official easier way?

I've just realised I forgot to mention that text formatting was removed upon printing had now been fixed in the change log. opps!! OK for now I will leave out the extra time highlighting and leave it up to the end user as I cant find a consistent 100% accurate way of doing it by a clicking of a button to activate. Just to mention that version 2.3 will be released next week with a a few minor fixes and a NEW "Config File Editor" GUI application for those that have requested it.

Sure had been fixed in 2.2.2.2 :-) Do you mean you got the pupils to highlight themselves in bold? As you are right its difficult to do denote something that with presume logical but when going back through would become illogical and thus EWP could not track this, the user would have to manually denote extra time.

right folks, need a decision on this feature request. A few have asked for a way to denote extra time work. At the moment, the easiest option is to click a button on the menubar and the font changes colour. so far so good. The problem arises if you print it off the text is always black/mono. The colour gets removed as its not a requirement. So what do I do to denote extra time on the print out? Do I: A) Enable Colour printing? B) Denote a line of text on the print out that states *****EXTRA TIME*****? C) Do Both above D) Another suggestion? I'm not sure what people actually need as its just as easy to get the candidate to type in the word 'extra time'. Thoughts please?

When the iPad has been provisioned with a blueprint, you have to go through a few of the initial screens to get to the home screen. AC2 cannot provision all the initial screen choices.

Obviously the manual way is with disk cleanup but would be interested if it’s a different way too

New fresh profile as per official instructions. When we launch Chrome it fails with page cannot load, I suspect it’s to do with cryptography/windows certs. Sometimes it works when logged in, the another time logged in it stops working, IE/Edge/Chrome.

Bloody hell, we’re still on 1709, can’t get 1803/1809 to work as we have issues with Chrome not working now and again, must be a profile issue but can’t find issue

If the path didn’t exist EWP would try and create the path, which is irrelevant because if the path doesn’t exist, neither will there be any files within the path. If the open path doesn’t exist, it reverts to the desktop. 2.2.0.4 ADDED: A verification check when saving/auto-saving, so if the save path doesn’t exist, it will default to the desktop. This is useful if you are saving to a remote/network location and it suddenly goes offline at any point. The Auto-save message dialog is now more descriptive to accommodate this issue.

I have fixed this issue and also managed to cleanup the code to as I had found that it was doing something’s twice over, so incessant :-) I will be releasing a new version on Friday once I have tested it with out mock exams tomorrow.

Yes this will always be an issue and it’s difficult for EWP to delete it on closing as you might need to open it back up again. The way we get round the issue it to script the home directory so then when a user logins in, even if it’s the same username, a unique folder is created on a file server with the computer name and date/time. So if Joe bloggs logs on to a “laptop1” with the exam username/password at 12:30 on 7th Jan 2019, their home folder path would look like: \\fileserver\users\laptop1-07-01-2019-12-30-15 The home folder path would be mounted as H:\ and force EWP to default save into it. We also redirect the desktop to home folder so if they save it to desktop it gets saved on the unique network location. When the user logs off, and another user logs in, their home folder is always different.

Hi all, The next release of EWP will be the last one.... that supports Windows XP and the .NET 4.0 framework.... Got you all going them didnt I? I bet you all thought I was finishing the project, not a chance :-) With the increased security risk that .NET Framework 4.0 poses over later versions and the fact that I wish to use new features like Long File Path names etc... I will be pushing up the .NET version to 4.7.2 which means Windows 7 SP1 or higher will be required. Future plans (To infinity and beyond) Ideally I would like to be cross-platform and using the upcoming .NET Core 3 framework seems appealing but I would have to rewrite everything, so this is not happening, for the time being, never say never. So in reality it will continue as a Windows only application for the foreseeable. I'm also getting to the point where I have exhausted all I can from the ExtendedRichEdit control developed by Microsoft in 2008! So in order for me to take this one stage further, I will have to purchase a 'WordDoc/RichText' style control from a third party, but this comes at a cost and as yet I haven't received any donations to date to support this purchase.
