Lower the value on a switch would become the ‘root bridge’ switch. So a value of either 0 or 4096 suffice for the core. I don’t use 1 as some switches don’t like it when PVST (per vlan spanning tree). Config option called “EnableSpellCheck” is now used, 0 to turn it off, 1 to turn it ON. If on, then you will get a top menu bar button called “Spell Check” and alternatively pressing F7. It will in turn run a separate spell checker window, similar to Microsoft Word. When exiting the spell checker window, auto highlight incorrect spellings will be active, denoted by red squiggles. Just to let you know, that I seem to have found a good spell checker and although it is an eight year old project still works having re-complied it in dot net 4. I'm testing it further with the UK dictionaries as supplied for OpenOffice/LibreOffice. so far so good! But please be aware it is not perfect but what spell checker is? If you enable the spell checker in the config file then you are given a menu button and have the ability to press F7 to initiate it. I will have to look further into the page break visual aid.

On a JCQ Scribe cover sheet, the scribe has to mark down with a 'X' where he/she has used certain things lie spell checker on or punctuation etc.... I agree that if I do have a spell checker, then it will be config based for on or off.

This was my initial thought when creating EWP but having spoken to our Exam Officer, Spellcheckers are allowing when scribing exams at GCSE/A Level. So in all honesty, A spell checker has to be available, so EWP can meet all the criteria/all possible conditions set out by exam bodies. This way EWP becomes completely your one-stop-shop for all things exams related. I'm kind of being forced to put it in or else techies out there will be forced to find an alternative just to offer a spell check when scribing. Or is that not my problem? EWP needs to stay as it is?

Just to keep you all informed, with regards Spell Checking. I have looked into this and the short answer is yes it can be done, relatively quickly BUT using Microsoft Word's Spellchecking, thus you need to have Word installed on the PC running EWP. I have been looking into free alternatives using nhunspell which is used by other freeware stuff, but its dictionary is not as good and doesn't seem to work very well with words that use punctuation. There are other spellcheckers out there but you need a pay a developer fee in the region of £300 up to £700, which Im not going to pay for unless someone gives me the cash :-) Ideally I want to keep EWP independent of third party apps, but if there is enough people who want a spell checker and have access to Word I can certainly added it in.

Either your layer 3 core switch will have the IP interface or smoothwall will. Only one needed per VLAN. Maybe like us, other schools may have physical PCs running through the layer 3 switch IP interface with static routing, ACLs etc.... The WiFi network via virtual interfaces on smoothwall.

We installed 11.4 on windows 10 1803 education yesterday and everything worked first time with now issues. Pen tray, floating toolbar, Ink, notebook. all work OK.

I normally leave it to the exam officer to compile as they see fit. The beauty of EWP is it’s probably the easiest software to use you don’t need instructions [emoji23]

Currently ALT+F4 will bypass the candidate screen. But when the new version comes out later today, the splash screen is enabled by default which will allow you to open existing file without the need to fill in candidate info.

Delayed because of workload, I’ve just come back from holiday and had a bit to catch-up one, also writing EWP too! I’m looking to release it tomorrow but I won’t be using it until after the exam period is now finished, but on second thoughts I will throw it to the lions on the final week of word processor exams so it’s been tested even though it will only be in two exams. I would advise anyone to put it into a live environment until you have done your own tests, as the disclaimer always says. [emoji1] I have one final bit to test now that I have added a splash screen, which is, does EWP still work as expected when the splash is turned off in the config. I have also stopped the ALT+F4 from closing the software, but by having the splash screen on, doesn’t matter as there is an exit button. I’m probably saying too much but I’m always open and like people to feel part of the EWP community. Without everyone’s help and support this project would not be where it is today! So big thank you to everyone!!

OK, you might have to uninstall the driver and re-install it, other than that I'm not sure with you trying it on another computer. I test here at my end using a combination of printers for example: Konica Minolta via Follow-Me Print Queue HP Laserjet 3015 Primo PDF HP Laserjet 1006 No issues ever from my end...

I have just looked through all code and I cannot find where that error box appear of the text within it so I can only assume that is an error generate d by the printer driver. So not my problem per say, which printer are you using and what driver is it? PS, PCL5, PCL6?
