  2. Hi All, Its that time of year for another release, see below for changelog and download links. 3. Hi all, Yes it will run on Windows XP as it requires .net 4.0 one reason I haven’t moved up the frameworks to 4.5 or 4.6 or 4.7 But on the same not I won’t be testing it on XP, just windows 7 and 10 moving forward. As far I’m concerned, I will hold off upgrading the framework as long as I can, likely to be after summer exams 2019. On a different note, new version this weekend, and, if you ever have issues big or small, drop them in here and I will do my best to investigate and fix them :-)
  4. Can you send me your config file please for testing :-)
  5. Hi, that is strange, I'm now developing and testing on win 10 1709 and have no issues so far, but I have a new version coming out this weekend, so it worth a try with this one. Just out on interest what is printing on the header footer, anything? make sure "DisableHeaderOnPrint" is set to 0 and the "HeaderOffset" is set to 0 in the config.
  6. I use a combination of fiddler4 and iTunes 12.5.5
  7. Not a problem, I will add it to the list, as it takes some time but essentially, which ever board you select at print will print off the correct coversheet. I will let you know via this forum once done.
  8. We still get them through a specific version of iTunes. Problem is for us is that when you have applied the blueprint, then gone through setting it up ready for pupil use, we have launch one of the office apps and login with the username and password we used in iTunes to download it in order to activate it. Once one is done, all the other apps are ok.
  9. I will see what it can do to allow multiple centre numbers :-)
  10. Hi, Have you tried entering the centre number in the config file with letters? It should work as the centre number text box on screen will not allow letters on key press. So if you put it in the config file, it will be ok. Bullet points can be used, just enable them in the config file. Tab, I’m pretty sure cant be used.
  11. Hi All, We are looking into the possibility of deploying 802.1x MAC based Auth Dynamic VLANS. Has any done it yet? Pros and Cons? This will affect all physically devices but what happens to WiFi clients? Do the WiFi networks have to be changed also? Is it a whole infrastructure change no half measures? We are using HP core and edge switches, and a few Ciscos, as long as they all support 802.1x they they will be fine? Finally, what happens with devices where a computer is looped/passthrough a VoIP phone and both are different VLANS? So a static switch port currently is untagged on 10 for the PC and tagged 50 for VoIP, is this allowed multiple VLANs on a single port dynamic VLAN assignment? Any help would be greatly appreciated [emoji1303]
  12. Worth a cheeky punt [emoji1303][emoji1]
  13. There are something’s I just cannot do until I know the current project I’m working on is sound and reliable :-) I’d love to do a cross platform app but it just finding the time and biggest issue is some block the internet completely so I would have to make an offline version. Big project!! 2019 maybe?
  14. I pride myself on not saying no to requests :-) Watch this space!
  15. The purpose if EWP is to be on top to stop people from cheating buy attempting to use other software. It’s purpose being for exam use only. I could write a config option to force on top or not but it would take some time :-)
  16. What is the benefit over static port assigned VLANs?
  17. BYOD will replace Pupil, Staff, ICT in future
  18. Currently have: BYOD, Pupil, Staff, Guest, ICT, School, Junior-iPads, Utilities.
  19. Reducing SSIDs is what we are doing this year, but dynamic VLANs? Tell me more and why? [emoji1][emoji1303]
  20. Do you deploy the AirTime fairness feature on each AP?
  21. Problem solved, again how we do it is EWP is run from network, so no matter where you are with your USB stick, you can print. But in the summer exams we block USB drives to stop cheating. If you know how tiny some are these days, a child can put one in and copy work within 10 seconds, take it out. Yes, we block Word, wordpad, notepad etc.... but they could bring in a portable version of a writing software to open up notes copy/paste. This is why we don’t take any chances. Each to their own, I know but we do everything we can to stop cheating. Back to your original post, I defo think refurbs is the best and cheapest idea. For what they are used for it makes sense! 22. We has to go cat6 to get the distance and quality with our CYP kit.
  23. http://cpc.farnell.com/cyp/au-11cd/hdmi-audio-de-embedder/dp/AV21322
  24. Go windows laptops, DONT use notepad or wordpad because if your laptop crashes and the user doesn’t regularly save they will be distraught. Use ExamWritePad, which offers auto save, auto recover backup, double line spacing, print off header and footers which hold candidate name, paper name etc....plus many more stuff. [emoji1303][emoji1]
  25. There other way to do it is to run a script to copy the network version at runtime which copies the files to a local folder.
