You can use --user-data-dir as a startup switch to do that, creates the folder if it doesn't exist "c:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="r:\Chrome\User Data" The only downside of doing that on a network drive is you can't have chrome open on two different PC's with the same user at the same time as PC1 locks the User Data as in use Andrew

I'm using Chrome for just about everything but I do have Edge on the build, at present though all I'm using Edge for is to run MyMaths...

Thanks for implementing the internal exams and cover sheet, just tried it now with the settings in the post above and it works perfectly The exams officer has signed it off so we will be using this for all Summer 2018 exams Cheers Andrew

Morning The JCQ/WP Form 4 template you already use would cover all the bases I would need for internal exams

Sort of. I've added Internal as an exam board but I'm not clever enough see how to force "internal" to print a cover sheet in the same way that for example CCEA does...

So if we overlook the fact that Salisbury is even more contaminated than Chernobyl and Fukushima combined at the moment and by the summer we'll be inundated by 40 foot tall toxic ants fighting killer zombies in The Maltings, who is up for a fourth meeting of the South/Central/Kent Edubytes gathering? The general consensus last time was that if the weather is good we'll have an everyone bring some food and drink picnic on the cathedral grounds and if it looks like a wet day then we'll do the Greyfisher again. We break up here on the 20th July and as usual any date after that I can do free on-site parking etc which means you won't have to pay a fortune to park in the grockle traps up the road. Have you also removed "run" from the start menu? Pretty sure disabling that also disables being able to type in UNC or local paths in any location/address bar

+1 for PARS, just starting our roll-out of it here after finishing our TASC Insight roll-out. It's one of those products that is already saving our admin staff hours a day with automated reporting AFAIK if you use PARS exclusively for your registers rather than the SIMS client you can save yourself approx £2k p/a by no longer having to pay for Lesson Monitor but we are nowhere near being in that position yet...

Just a standard Epson EB-X03 but works fine for us. Hall is 25m long and is clear from the back

We use a projector put on the front exam desk projecting onto the front wall running a powerpoint slide with exams, numbers, start, finish and live clock. Displayed 6m x 6m so even the one at the very back can see clearly.

Hi I've had a student hand in some work based on Unity, the games development platform. Not a platform I'm familiar with. Looking for advice from someone who has used it before, it appears to my uneducated brain that Unity is a bit like Scratch or is that an unfair comparison? Do users have to build from the ground up or is there a library of code that can be downloaded and tweaked? They have written a platform game and the question I have to answer is, is it their work or not.... TIA Andrew
