Exactly that. The host is about £60, the temp sensors are about £20 each

Two or three per host depending on what sensor you use. The interface isn't the most modern in the world but it does show all MFi hosts on one screen so you can build custom graphs, alerts, emails etc for your environment. The sensors are POE from the host via ethernet so you can have them just about anywhere, like mine in the freezer for example TBH, it's so cheap, get one in with a couple of sensors and have a play. The admin software is free from the Unifi site but hasn't had an update since 2015. AFAIK, it's supported but no longer being developed.

And another vote for Ubiquiti mFi kit. Not only monitors all my comms rooms but also monitors the walk in fridges and freezers in catering as well. Works to -10c which is more than enough to know the freezer is cold enough. Actually might walk over there now and check it's working OK and maybe have an icecream while I'm in there

For a multitude of daft reasons I won't go into I need to somehow get audio output from a laptop that is about 20m away from a phono wall socket linked to a sound system but (and here's the kicker) I can't run a cable between the two or change the location of the laptop (seriously, just don't ask). Something Bluetooth related should be my friend here but AFAIK the range is too great for that to work? Is it even possible to do this using some form of cable free wireless magic and if so, can anyone recommend anything that would do the job? Thanks Andrew

It really is that quiet I’m afraid, I know several local shop owners and they are all struggling. The council are running free car parks and free park and ride but it’s looking increasingly like the locals are shopping out of town and all that’s in town are the coach loads of tourists going from the cathedral to Stonehenge. TBH though, it was starting to be like that before the radioactive Russians

We use TASC Insight and the parents use the on-line form but we don't have a fraction of the absence issues many of you have. Also have a phone line answer phone for out of hours emergencies which is monitored by a member of staff off-site.

Jeepers, this is taking place one month from today!! Suppose I'd better get organised. So the good news is large parts of Salisbury are no longer radioactive (well the parts they cleared for Prince Charles to walk round the other day aren't, the rest is still a work in progress) but the grass on the cathedral survived the chemical scrub, the trees are all blooming and the promised threat of 40 foot killer zombie ants has thus far failed to materialise. We've been badgering Rick for years to hold a meeting this far south and he's finally given in so it would be nice if we could get a good attendance. It looks like Netsupport are giving away free licences of their Notify product for attendees which is well worth the trip alone.

Have you got the WSUS server listed as a Direct exception in your proxy settings on the PC's (assuming one is set)? Had very similar problems until I did that with my W10 workstations, W7 wasn't as fussy...

Some of them are the same IP range unfortunately so can't do anything clever with a single proxy.pac for multiple ranges I've found ps1 scripts to set proxy but nothing that will set a proxy.pac

Hi Sorry, not a coder but need a quick fix script (either ps1 or vbs) for a non domain Windows 10 PC that can set the proxy.pac location for a PC and disable automated settings. Long story but need a few icons on the desktop to set different pac files for a knuckle dragging end user who switches sites and insists on using their own laptop.... Would love you forever if someone could write me something that would do the job? Thanks Andrew

I'm using Classic Shell with Windows 10 Edu v1709, roaming profiles and redirected start menus without any issues. I'm keeping an eye on any potential issues because as stated above Classic Shell is no longer being developed but some quick testing on 1803 the other day didn't have any issues either. Just FWIW, I am rolling out 1709 rather than 1803 as the latter is still too buggy to consider going live IMHO Andrew
