  1. I use root call blocker. Blocks the call at the radio level. Screen never even turns on, nor does the phone app even see the call.
  2. @russdev I'm in support and according to website, can only use up to 3.5.0.2 Do you have any idea on when us non cool UK people will get the latest version?
  3. Still stuck on 3.5.x here
  4. Chromecast+laptop? Intel WiDi came to mind, but cheap means chromecast....
  5. Its much worse then you think. Try running a server with applocker where a member of the default user group can't run a program, but admin can. Make the program one such as winlogon if you want (needed to logon). You won't be able to logon due to the standard user token not being able to access the program. However the default admin has no issues in the same area for some reason. I disabled Useless Account Cr*p as a result. Took me a while to debug the login issue as well.
  6. You could use MDT and then part of the task sequence would allow you to use the MAK. Not sure about windows KMS, but i would assume it works the same way as office km.
  7. I run several VB forums and would not recommend it for a new forum.
  8. Not a lot should be in the image. Windows, updates, and any applications that must be installed in the thick image. (We have a specialty word processor) Everything else should be in MDT or GPO.
  9. May or not help, we set the languages for the bar in the thick image. Problem solved.
  10. Interesting. We always set pxe to boot first in the bios. Would love to know how we can change the boot order remotely
  11. We include it. Have switched to kms key yet from mak, so I can't advise, but with mak it works fine. Activate all with vamt 2.0
  12. I use mdt2012, so in my case, build VM, snapshot, capture (MDT has a script built in) revert and then I can update down the line, capture, repeat.
  13. I solved my issue with the one weird PC. Renamed LABB5 TO B2 and no longer have issues. True sorry.
  14. We create the image in virtual box as well..
  15. Sorry to thread jack, how can I do that? Currently rebuilding a VM so I can snapshot before since I ran out of sys preps... You could save me time.
  16. The java one for sure... Java in a browser is asking for a virus. But as above, disable what you don't need.
  17. I got one or two for you, but do you want to ship from USA?
  18. We bought impero for this reason. We were also looking at netsupport school, about half the price. In the newest version (which US schools still don't have) they have ability to broadcast to screens before login... A much wanted ability for us.
  19. Used mobile iron to do what you are looking at.
  20. I understand where you are coming from, I just want to make sure you/everyone else understands what is at risk/downsides. If it works great. Of all are signed into same gmail account, it will sync down (new installs) without an issue. A limit of 5 though applies, although Devs set it separately per app. P.s. you could skip the rooting step and just boot into stock recovery with the correct update.zip on the sdcard to to update to a custom recovery most likely since zip verification seems to be off.
  21. Sorry to tell you, this is not a real deployment. What you have done (in PC terms) is cloned a tablet to another one. A nandroid (which can be even easier then these steps) is literally a dump of the nand chip, which you are restoring to another chip. You can and will run into issues with this setup. The android id will be the same across all devices for one. You can't just flash a recovery on a device most of the time. The bootloader is normally locked and will allow only files signed by the manufacturer. Obviously this Chinese tablet doesn't have a locked bootloader, but try that on a Motorola or HTC device... The list goes on, but I just wanted to leave some info here.
  22. Thanks for the info. We don't want people to time out, so we can't use the first solution. The second one works, but only if the person is connected. If disconnected you get an error about remote control being disabled. Third party software is welcome as a solution since I don't think this is possible with ms tools
  23. We used a piece of software called beyond trust that might help. I never played with it, but does functions like this.
  24. So I am pulling a real dumb here... I have a server 2008r2 box that is in use by a few people. It is used as a standalone box, in a workgroup, with a file sharing and rds roles installed. People remote in, run a app, and log out. Except some people just close the session instead of logging out. Means I can't do windows updates and restart because they might still have programs open. Where is the setting that allows me to do a remote control session so I can see what's running in their session? You know, right click on their name in task manager, remote control, done. Needs to give me unprompted access to their session so I can save and close stuff add needed. This should be possible, but if not, how would you accomplish this?
