Yep. You need to get the MSP right. So manually test the install. You an specify the MSP in the command line. I cant remember the switch though. Then add the deployment type into SCCM. If you've got the chance to do this over the summer. It's a lot easier than in term.

You could do a NS lookup of YouTube.com then if you have DNS outgoing access on your firewall try Google's dns. Host files are resolved when using a proxy but would cause issues with mismatch hostnames and IPs.

Have you removed apps through powershell? I may run process monitor remotely to see what's slowing it down. If any of the apps have updated they may be copying to each users profile.

Is it the super hub AC? You can do a 193.168.1.x range. You cant rdp into it because the subnet mask is likely 255.255.255.0 . Change the static IP to 192.168.0.2. Set the range for dhcp to 192.168.0.10 to 254. Then you have space for statics if you ever need them.

If you are in control of your own filtering then that should log any websites. Abtutor logs web usage but saves logs on the local pc rather than to a share. Though this is in the pipeline. Also does screenshots based on keywords.

You can enable verbose logging for the boot image. Might show you what's happening.

Its all to do with legacy. Do you hold onto MS Office? Do you keep using legacy desktop programs but there's no easy way to save to one drive/ google drive? Until the desktop clients for cloud storage are able to do placeholders this will be the main stumbling block for office 365 / google.

You can have an upstream proxy. Or integrated with a firewall. Though a total cloud school isn't going to save a lot of money. You always get something like printing where you need a on prem server.

You can get MDT to query which OU the PC is in or what IP address etc. For total control you want SCCM.

It used to be software catalog (web page) for user targeted installs. Though can appear in software center. Computer targeted deployments in software center. The new center has both though I don't think the setting works very well if you still have the settings for the software catalog being pushed out. Also I think its windows 10 only.

I'd be interested to know how you can store up to 1tb per user. That's a lot of storage.
