Hi, I'm trying to make as much use out of Office 365 as possible. I'm really hitting issues when it comes to OneDrive though as Microsoft seem to love putting in as many obstacles as possible. My ideal solution would be students logging onto workstations in ICT Suites would have a Group Policy configuring OneDrive for their account (nearly at that stage). Then the sync folder would be located in their user area on the network, this would prevent a local cache being syncronised to the hard drive of every workstation they log onto. OneDrive client doesn't like syncing to network paths but can get around this using symbolic links. But OneDrive then has issues every now and again, deciding the folder it's syncing to is a different folder and needs setting up again. Has anyone got this working reliably? I would really like to make use of the space students have available in OneDrive and having a copy of their user areas sync'd to our file servers would be great. I don't want OneDrive syncing their files to local hard drives and I don't want to map network drives to their OneDrive areas, as they are very glitchy when copying files to and from. Also they will be storing large photoshop files on the onedrive area too in some cases. I'd rather not have them opening and saving large files direct to their OneDrive areas. Hope someone can help. True, but also 5 access points failing in two years hasn't helped. 4 of which just outside the warranty. They forward everything except framed-ip-address attribute. Why they can't build that in I'm not sure. Maybe more an inconvenience than a negative.

Ubiquiti don't do simple things like forwarding accounting information to our Lightspeed server to stop users having to log in twice with their own devices. We had to implement a FreeRADIUS server to patch it up when all other manufacturers do it out of the box. When contacted ubiquiti, they said they will look at it at some point.

Hi Josh, Ruckus were coming out expensive and I have very limited budget, to the point of rolling out 10 APs per year. I don't want to spend a couple of thousand on a controller before I start buying access points. Andy

Hi, I'm trying to decide between Xirrus and Aerohive for our future wireless solution after moving away from Ubiquiti. We have an old Xirrus XN4 array which has worked for years without trouble so I am happy to go Xirrus, and now they do access points, there is very little between the two companies. Just wondered if anyone had issues with either of the solutions and/or reasons to go with one over the other? Thanks in advance for your help. Andy

Yes certain parts are subscription based. I'm not sure about the URL Filtering lookup, but Malware updates and Anti SPAM are. We are fully subscribed as we have a Microsoft EES agreement which includes the Forefront AntiVirus suite and System Center Suite. The Forefront covers the subscription and Forefront for SharePoint and Exchange too.

Hi, Thank you, that's very encouraging. Is the reporting is done using SQL Reporting Services? Are you logging to an SQL database? How many users do you have running through it and what spec server do you find you need to work with this? I am tempted to use UAG and TMG in combination as the DirectAccess VPN solution is interesting. Do you have a lot of concurrent VPN connections? Andy

Hi, I'm currently looking at moving away from our LEA supplied Internet (currently paying a lot of money for a 25Mb connection). I have found a connection of 100Mb fibre which will save us 6k pa. Looking at security options I was wondering if anyone else was already using TMG 2010 for everything, it has improved a lot with the introduction of Categories database (checking with Microsofts online database). We already have all of the licencing and subscription for TMG as have been using it to publish our websites. We used to have Websense from our LEA which is actually ISA 2006 with an annoying interface. If I can possibly do this and still save 6k per year it would be great as every saving counts at them moment! I have already setup an SSTP VPN using TMG and it works great, if using Windows it requires no extra software on the client. TMG 2010 can currently can give us: Firewall URL Filtering (Category based) Web Protection Malware Protection (on E-mail and download traffic) Anti SPAM Intrusion Prevention VPN Logging/Reporting Can anyone say they are using it successfully or give me reasons to pay extra for something we already appear to have? Hi I want to get SSO working between our mail, sharepoint and moodle servers. I am using ISA Server 2006. It is working fine between sharepoint and exchange OWA. I am having issues with Moodle. I have followed the moodle doc on NTLM and Kerberos authentication, tried both and although it is authenticating properly, when it send the credentials to Moodle, I just get a page cannot be displayed error code 64. The Web server connection was closed. Technical Information (for support personnel) Error Code 64: Host not available Background: The connection to the Web server was lost. It's driving me mad! I am thinking about trying to setup Moodle for taking Basic Authentication as the ISA Server can forward this, but would rather not. Although it is in HTTPS. The webserver is Fedora 8 with Apache server and Moodle 1.9.5. Hope you can help! Andy
