Quackers

Geovision might be what your after, it has web browser clients, full clients, mobile phone clients, pda clients, we use it, its good. Just wack the card it a standard PC and your away.

Nope, still does it, but we just live with it, as when it crashes you can still save. Tech support did tell me its not designed for use on laptops....

We had a normal PBX phone system, but i chose to put a VoIP system in and be responsable for it, having never touched VoIP before, it was very easy, and really enjoyed the project. You could go banana's on £12,000. Get a server, install elastix (its cool!), configure voip phones to use it. We used an ISDN line to carry the outbound calls.

I've just spat my coffee out. People are spending these kinds of money on VLE's and Parent Portals

Neither, Nokia N900 running Linux, with AJAX, full Flash 9.4, and Firefox browser.

I have as yet to find out there anything that comes close to Microsofts Class Server content creator, in terms of how it good it looks or how easy it is to make. Is there anything like it for making SCORM content for Moodle, or even better a converter!?

If you use Joomla for your website there are many shop plugins, (trip could be an item), and they link in with paypal accounts, and accept Visa, Mastercard etc

Yes its with madatory profiles, and no the users do not have to enter any details, they just click the shortcut and away they go.

Outlook, with the shortcut pointing to a prf config file so it auto loads the settings when launched.

If you have somthing like the SIMS Learning Gateway this should work without a specifc application on certain phones as its web based.

Thats the best template i have seen yet for Joomla, is that on 1.0 or 1.5, and is it a free template?

Makro has this game for £20 inc VAT £17.99 ex VAT, mate que'd up at 7AM this morning for it.

I've been waiting for this phone for weeks, was suppost to be out on the 30th October, then its been delayed by a few weeks, with many sites saying 16th November for release date. I'm tempted to book Friday 17th of work to go the Nokia store in London to buy it, if it does get released then. Annoyed, the £500 is sitting in bank waiting to spend.... Loved the Video of them playing Multiplayer Quake III on it.

Not a chance in hell would i give up my mobile. I've given up my landline, no phone plugged in that silly expensive thing.

According to this table http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/license-and-media-matrix.png?tag=col1;post-1514 Windows 7 Volume Licence version does not need activating, is this true, have they got rid of that annoying MAK key thingy that they introduced in Vista and gone back to how XP worked with volume licence?

I do not understand why OFCOM has not slapped companys who do this. It winds me up too

I cannot seem to find the option to do so in the webpart. I've got a list in sharepoint, that reads the calendar events in. How to do i tell it to list todays events only or next weekday only ?

Netsupport school is driving me potty. The way it connected to clients was poor, but the class lists was good (version 10) Along comes 10.5 makes the connecting to clients good, they remove class lists from the startup screen! Meaning i have to get teachers to dive through menu's to select what PC's they want to control, not good. What i do not get is, with the activation, why not just make the NSS Connectivity Server more than just a connectivity server, make it the only peice that needs to be activated. Make it the individual tutor settings for each teacher. It could be so much better than it is.

Here's a step by step guide for anybody wanting to play. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=8d47ed5f-d217-4d84-b698-f39360d82fac

Anybody implimented Direct Access yet with Server 2008 and Windows 7? Its the only feature that makes me want to upgrade, but it needs IPv6. I've not fully read up on it, and there is a lot to digest, but does it need IPv6 on the public address? or just all the server on there internal address? I've just got the feeling i'm not going to be able to implement due to the usual County internet connection.

I'm sure you can get network usb box's, which then can be shared out and installed. EDIT: Found this one. http://www.belkin.com/pressroom/releases/uploads/05_15_07NetworkUSBHub.html

Please tell me your joking! Does not feel like i've been on SQL Server 2005 for that long Wish SIMS would move to MySQL.

Just found this Strike against BSF proposals | The Socialist 8 July 2009 Tamworth is the first town in our LEA to go through BSF, and looks like the teachers went on stike back before we broke up for the summer. No idea what came of it, but anything that delays BSF coming to my area in the LEA is good. I like the comment "We should not accept the argument that there is nothing we can do about the government's BSF agenda and its attempt to privatise education"

XP Support ends in 2014, a whole 5 years from now for security hotfixes. For software assurance customers its also 2014 for non security fixes.

I went for the 30 day trial, then they tried the trick of trying to invoice us for the product, which is £1000's. I have never been impressed with Birchfield software, always been a pain to install, or looks dire. The VLE content did not impress me.
