in ciscoland, seting ports as "portfast" stops them sending/recivind spanning tree BDU information. this means the port comes up and negotiates client links much faster. We found PXE DHCP failed on switches without portfast. worth investigating.

On core A you also need to put in static routes for each of the CORE B networks and have it's next hop as Core B. in ours we have a 192.168.1.x network for Core A and Core B. (A) being 192.168.1.1 Linked by the fibre to (B) being 192.168.1.2 So the default route on core (B) would go to 192.168.1.1 and in your case, on the core A you would add static routes Pointing at all your Core(B) networks with the next hop as 192.168.1.2 Rob

That's two different subnets though, where he says split scope on one subnet. Split scope would be done by two DHCP servers sharing the load of one subnet. Rob

he printed about 20 shots complaining the colour was wrong. it was not until I realised he was adjusting the colour to look right on his old crt ( with no Pantone colour data ) that I advised 1) trust the camera , printer and not the screen. 2) get a new LCD that will have more true colour library. he also uses a doubler between the expensive body and expensive lense which does not help many of the shots. My farther in law sold his 450D and bought a 7D, then spent 1500K on accessories. I can get better results with my compact as I can take it everywhere and capture the moment. We even got a camera phone shot better than most of his grainy blured efforts of birds 200ft away... Rob

Then the rest of your network will not see the client MAC addresses anyway Does the router not support mac whitelisting, L2 network blocking needs to be done as close to the edge as possible so in your case directly on the AP's if supported ( a pain if they are not centraly managed ) or on the first network device they connect to the router. we have never used a single supplier ( appart from the tie ) and neither has my sons school. Plain black Jumper, White shirt, black Trousers. All available in Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, etc... Having the Uniform means students don't get segregated ( bullied ) for not having expensive cloathes. Rob
