Hi We have a small site with a 2012 domain server, which is also the file server. I was looking at adding a backup method and wondered if anyone had any advice or guidance into using a USB harddrive to do a scheduled local daily backup including the system state to The site has a online offsite backup in place currently and would keep that, just wanted an additional local backup method without spending too much money Any advice?

Cheers, got a few on the test ok and dhcp dishes out correct ips However it seems intermitant what ip address the client thinks is the server, sometimes it pings server name by the correct ip sometimes its looking for the server on the wrong vlan ip Changing the host file sorts it but theres a dns issue somewhere, both ips of the server on in the a records list pointing to the correct server name

Sorry meant split range on same subnet, the lower part of the range is vlan 1 the upper range is on vlan 2

Hi all Wanted some advice on proposed network setup We have 1 domain server which is also dns and dhcp The network is a split range vlan Any problems in setting dhcp to have 2 scopes (server has 2 nics) for each side of the vlan, how would I need to set up dns for clients to resolve the correct ip to the server name? Hi I was wondering if anyone could give any advice in setting up a shared calendar for use by teachers Is the best way to create a shared mailbox and use it off that or a new user? If so can I only give access to the calendar and not mail? Can I then have that calendar on the internal sharepoint site? Using latest office 365, pretty new to it

Cheers all They sound more interesting to me than ipads (which we have) Just not sure on Students using them but for staff it sounds like I probably could replace laptops with these as our staff mainly just use the internet and office Can they link to pcs wirelessly for projection similar to airplay with airserver? Im guessing to go for the type covers rather than touch?

Were looking to order a good few of these before the end of the month to take advantage of the offer but had a few queries you may be able to help me with We plan on using them for our staff, possibly students but depends on management Anyone used them for staff to replace a staff laptop? Good results? Can office 365 accounts be set up on them, especially in outlook on 8.1 and skydrive pro? How do you manage them? Do you need antivirus on them? Any advice before purchasing them? Ill be buying an xbox one, policy changing on the whole is a good thing if its what people want I do wish it was the same console as announced though as it genuinley was something new, it is now, but watered down I have no brand allegience whatsoever, I dont actually understand why so many people get upset about a games console but the PS4 to me does seem like a PS3+
