Please move if in the wrong thread. We are struggling to allow a user to access Accounts View in Kyocera Net Viewer. They can view the devices, but when they right click on a printer , go to manage device and input the printer Admin user name and password they receive an authentication error. When I do the same under a Domain Administrator account I can authenticate and view the accounts. I've run Procmon, but can't see anything they are denied access to. Making them a local administrator doesn't help.

I use the method here: Updating the builtin Onedrive client in Windows 10 1511 during OS deployment – CCMEXEC.COM – Enterprise Mobility to update to the new client before any users log on.

So if I set the e-mail field to our old address, the ProxyAddress attribute will still hold, and show the mail address as our new one?

@Boredguy Yes, the mail field in Ad is the new one. We need the Outlook setup wizard to see the old one, as this reflects our 365 tenancy.

We can change the field, the problem I have is getting teachers to do so!

We have recently changed our e-mail addresses, and I have set up the new addresses as an alias on our 365 tenancy, and changed AD to show the new address as the primary SMTP address. This works well, unless a member of staff wishes to use Outlook rather than webmail on site. The wizard to set up Outlook autopopulates the e-mail address field with the primary SMTP address, which, obviously, is the alias in 365. Staff click next, at which point it hangs, as it is looking for the wrong e-mail. I'm sure it's an issue with autodiscover.xml, but I'm unsure how to correct it.

In Windows 7 we had the home page as our 365 sharepoint site homepage, and it opened for users without requiring any sign in. We have adfs configured. In Windows 10 we have the same home page, but users have to input their e-mail address before being redirected to the homepage. They do not need to input their password. How can I recreate the Windows 7 experience for our users on Windows 10?

Have a look at the new version 3.0 released this week. It installs to program files, not an individual profile, and offers instructions for installation via SCCM. I'm testing it today.

I work 8-4 (3:30 on a Friday) and I generally finish on time. I usually get in about 10-15 minutes early, but that's my choice because motorway delays can happen. At my last place, which was nearer home, the expectation was to work past your finishing time, but it isn't so here - in fact my manager bundles me out of the door at 4 o'clock. I do work through my lunch break though, and check e-mails/ remote in from home, but only if it will make my job easier the next day. I'm getting much better at ignoring e-mails that can keep til the morning.

Unit 2 - pdf. We used a website called smallpdf.com which shrunk all the pdf's down to below 20Mb. (paid for if more than 2 an hour, but $6 a month, cancelled immediately was worth it) Unit 4 - zip file. We rang the IT dept, who agreed to accept a bitlocked USB drive. There was no way I was going to be able to shrink a 400+Mb folder to a 20Mb zip!

Group Policy preferences, at the user level - hide %userprofile%\documents, %userprofile%\desktop, %userprofile%\downloads, %userprofile\favorites etc. I occasionally get an error with the 3d objects - I think the space in the filename causes issues, but the others don't show.

Your test OU - does it contain users or computers?

Have you created a answer file for the x86 machines? I believe you need a different answer file for x86 and x64

And the shortcuts exist in that folder, I assume?

The only posts I've seem about 1802 seem to indicate PXE errors. Has anyone any good experiences of 1802 before I take the leap?

Your xml is pointing to "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ for most of your Office tiles - do the permissions on that folder match for working and not working machine?

If you go to your Configuration manager install directory on the server and go to tools, you'll find the adm files you need

Create the GPO in the local group policy editor, export it and import it into the domain GPO.

Look at the GPO setting I mentioned earlier - works a treat here.

When we did the same upgrade I was advised to build the new SCCM instance with a different site code, and configured the computer GPO Admin templates, configuration manager, configuration manager client. I also have a setting in the Task Sequence - Set up Windows and Configuration Manager, under Installation Properties, which sets the MP to the correct server - have you changed this?

If you RDC to it, can you then see the screen? Could it be a resolution issue?
