  1. Is anyone experiencing problems with 365 e-mail (it seems worse on IE) Some staff are reporting blurred images, or an inability to open e-mails.
  2. Yes, us too.
  3. We're seeing intermittent issues too.
  4. Bear with me, this gets convoluted. We have an existing, well used 365 tenancy. We have become a member of a MAT, and the other school in the MAT has set up an area in their tenancy for staff working across the MAT to use as a shared area. If used on-line this works well. Our problem comes when staff want to map both their OneDrive on our tenancy, and the shared area on the other tenancy to drive letters. We use the OneDriveMapper script (OneDriveMapper | Liebensraum), but as soon as we introduce the shared area into the script, it becomes flakey - it works, sometimes, but not consistently. Of course, it works perfectly at our other MAT school, because they aren't leaving their tenancy at all. Are we asking too much to expect a free script to do this, and if so, can anyone recommend a paid for solution that will do what we want?
  5. The end user doesn't have permission to create the connect.ini file, so will be prompted for it repeatedly. I deploy it by GPO.
  6. Yes, a profile reset did it. Looks like the association to html got borked somehow.
  7. Sorry, double checking, the error is "Class not registered". Back to Google...
  8. Two users so far are finding that when they click on a hyperlink they receive a Class Not Found error message. Copying the hyperlink and pasting into IE11 works, and setting Chrome as the default browser and clicking the hyperlink works. I'm trying to reproduce the issue now, any ideas?
  9. Please help, I have a bruise on my forehead from hitting it against the wall! Further testing shows it isn't user specific - I can replicate the issue with my test user. I can log onto a domain workstation (Win7) with my test user and SSO work flawlessly. If I then connect via rds to our Server 2012 R2 desktop, using the same user, SSO fails and I am prompted for a password. If I close the browser and re-open it I am again prompted.
  10. OK, I've fixed the profile issue. However, he is still getting prompted for passwords multiple times. Our home page for IE is our 365 sharepoint, which has SSO enabled, and does so on all other machines, except the RDS. Any ideas?
  11. If our Head wishes to share an Excel document, saved in her One Drive, with a member of the MAT, who's account resides in another tenancy, the recipient can only open the file using Excel on-line. We want them to be able to open the file in "full" Excel. How do we do this?
  12. Since moving all our mail boxes to 365, and shutting off our on prem Exchange, we've noticed that any mailing list created by staff is being written back into AD as, for example, Group_0385bd87-4c46-40d9-8dd2-7dc05a2b6e7a. The description tells us the name of the Mailing List and it also exists under groups in Office 365. How do I stop this from writing back - it's making AD look untidy!
  13. I've started looking at a script to run at the end of the workthrough, but my script skills are limited, and I can't find anything through Google. Surely this isn't an unusual request?

  15. When we re-image a Mac, we create a partition which is used as a scratch drive, so all users need read/write access to it. How can I set this in Deploystudio?
  16. Maybe it is, but there is no reason they can't go on-line. We go through a Smoothwall proxy, but Microsoft is whitelisted. Do I need to configure Smoothwall to allow this?

  18. We have an old, creaking and badly managed instance of SCCM2012 SP1. It has been suggested that we just start again - new servers for SCCM and SQL, and as the school name has changed new Site Code as well. Am I right in thinking that, as long as boundaries don't overlap I can do this?

  20. I'm looking at rolling out Office 2016, however, when I try and run any Office 2016 program on a Mac (running Yosemite, authenticating to AD) I get a pop up "Kerberos authentication required". Putting in the user password returns "unable to reach any KDC in realm , tried 0 KDCs" Logging on as a local user also gives the pop-up. I have run the VL Serializer as part of the DeployStudio Task Sequence when loading the machine.
  21. As I might have mentioned, I have started at a new school, after 17 years at my previous one. Here, the Music Dept. use Finale 2011. I have been told that the licence needs to be deauthorised before rebuilding the machines, however, we run a local licencing service on one of our servers - do I need to de-authorise and re-authorise if we are managing the licences in house? I've tries Finale Support, but apparently we are running an unsupported version. Upgrading isn't an option at the moment.

Yes, I hold it down as I hit the on button, and don't release it until I've booted into OSX. If I hold down alt, it boots to the boot selection screen, and I can choose the OSX disk or recovery.
