I redirect the menu too. However, I redirect it to a folder on the C drive, so that only the programs installed are seen in the menu. I looked at the "Prevent access to drives from My Computer" GPO setting, but enabling that broke One Drive Files on Demand, which we want.

How do you hid the "open file location" option when right clicking on a menu item (Right click, more, open file location) It gives full access to the C drive!

Get the one with the removable tray if you can - so much easier to clean. They are fantastic for paninis and toasted sandwiches

You're installing photoshop via a bat file? Exit code 16 for a bat file is "the directory cannot be removed" - what's in the bat? If you tick the "Continue on error" box on the Options tab in the TS, you'll be able to see if everything else works.

This has made my SCCM Task Sequences so much better. I now have one Windows 10 TS, which puts new machines into the correct OU for the classroom, only installs required software, and so much more. I feel I'm only scratching the surface of what I can do with it https://github.com/MikePohatu/TsGui

I have a 365 Sharepoint 2013 workflow, which uses a Set variable to extract an e-mail address from a form, and then send to that e-mail address. Later on in the same workflow an e-mail is sent to the person who created the form. In both cases this works intermittently, but in some cases the e-mails aren't received - are there any logs I can look at. There are no error messages generated as far as I can see.

Is the TPM enabled in the BIOS?

Windows 10 has forced me to move away from a fat image - I'm now using the install.wim from the disk, and doing everything I would have done in my image in my SCCM TS. This has made it easy to test both flavours - 1709 and LTSB. As long as I can get my Start Menu working as I would like, it looks like 1709 will now win - for now. I'll get a working system, then test with a small group of machines and users.

It's the Computer policy Control Panel\Settings Page Visibility. On LTSB I can see the policy has written into the Registry, but it doesn't apply. On 1709 it works. If you right click on the desktop and go to Display it opens the Settings version of desktop, so if we disallow settings completely in LTSB staff get an error message.

I am currently developing our Windows 10 rollout, and I'm working on both LTSB and 1709, to try and find the one that best does what we want. LTSB was in the lead, until it came to settings. For Students it's easy, we can simply block access to Control Panel and Settings entirely, but we need to give staff access to altering the desktop resolution at the very least. In 1709 that's easy - there's a GPO, but that GPO doesn't apply on LTSB. Is there a way I can do what I need on LTSB?

Then use a custom requirement and look for a registry fragment that's unique to the OS.

Could you set the requirements on the software you want as Win 7 to only install on Win 7?

And the fix - a GPO to turn off Defender. There seems to be a conflict between them.

I've not removed any apps from the wim - I have slipstreamed updates, but only after the issue occurred. UPDATE - it's Sophos. If I don't add Sophos I have a start menu.

That's exactly what I am doing. I have a task sequence now that loads windows and drivers and adds to a workgroup. Nothing else.

A new local user sees the same issue.

No applocker rules in place - no GPO's at all at the moment.

It's not working at all - start menu, search and cortana. My TS at the moment is basic - I partition the disk, apply the OS from the original install.wim, apply Windows settings to add UserName and enable the local admin account, apply network settings to add it to the domain and drop it into an OU - which has no GPO's assigned to it, apply drivers, install sccm client and add Office and Sophos. I think I've tried that script, but I'll give it another go. I'm also going to try disabling Sophos.

Sorry to bring up this old chestnut again. I'm just starting the development of Windows 10 here, and a decision has been made to go with the edu branch. At my last school I used LTSB, so I'm having to re-invent the wheel. So, I've migrated SCCM from 2012 to 1709, on new hardware. My old Win 7 deployments work fine, so on to Win 10. My thought was, with a new version coming out ever 6 months, I was better using the install.wim off the disk, and deploy the applications in the task sequence, rather than the fat image I used with 7. So, start small - I have a test TS with the install wim, an unattend.xml to set the language etc, install drivers and add to the domain. I then added Office 2016 as a single application. The TS works fine, I log onto it with my admin account, and the start menu doesn't work. I've seen this before with roaming profiles, but my account uses local profiles. I logged on as local admin and tried deleting the profile anyway, but I still had no start menu when I logged back on. Any ideas?

I've turned off Mime sniffing in Internet options, but it still fails to open. Curiously, it tries to open twice, even though I'm only clicking once, each time giving the error that the file is in use and it is opening read only, before giving the error it can't be found.
