A charge for emails? That seems bizarre in this day and age.

Sorry what is CSP?

Copiers is an interesting one. If they are maintained as part of the agreement then they should be as good in year 3 as year 1.

Does anyone know where you download firmware / software updates for Kyocera copiers?

Has anyone used LetsEncrypt with PaperCut for SSL? Or, does anyone else have a suggestion for a cheap SSL?

Sophos Interceptx - Worth it?

Where is that pricing from? Seems cheap! -
We have a leased one and also an owned one where we pay a charge per page for toner and maintenance. Having started looking at replacing the leased one, it would appear that the cost to buy against lease is the same if looking at just 5 years. It only seems to become more cost effective if you intend to keep the machine for longer than 5 years but by then the cost per copy charges on a new leased machine will have probably reduced so it's swings and roundabouts.

Article: Intelligence Hosting Offer for EduGeek Members
Edu-IT replied to Dos_Box's topic in Legacy CMS Comments
We've been using this service for a good length of time now - for free - and it's been perfect. Setup was easy and they've always been on hand to answer any questions no matter how trivial. -
Usually it's free, with Krystal it is.

Ask them to prove where you were informed of, and agreed to, a new contract. If you have your old T&C's handy then send them a copy of these too. You shouldn't be forced in to an agreement you knew nothing about. If you have access to Legal then speak with them too.

InVentry / vistor sign in retention period
Edu-IT replied to klee's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Sorry to dig up an old thread but it is relevant to what I am about to ask. As pointed out the IRMS says Current Year + 6. I fail to see why you would look back in 6 years who signed in? That said, what happens with regards to recording information for Track and Trace which there's no reason to keep beyond 14 days. It would be near on impossible to delete just the Track and Trace data and not the visitor date so you're left with the option of deleting everything. Anyone come up against this? -
Mobility Print? Looks like it stills need an onsite server? https://www.papercut.com/products/free-software/mobility-print/

You're correct, it's WordPress. Their backend is custom built. They're both on different IP addresses too so hopefully there's no link between any databases. :-)

MFA now enabled by default on new Office 365 Tenants
Edu-IT replied to free780's topic in Cloud Services
Am I right in thinking you need a paid licence to exclude MFA on certain IP addresses such as in school? -
Happy to donate my pair if you really want them! [emoji106]

Do you mean you have to have 1TB there for 180 days - or whatever storage capacity you need? Or that the backup taken today for example has to stay there for 180 days? Looks expensive to restore via this route?

Can anyone explain this limitation? What would be the negative? If you use Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows with Veeam Backup & Replication, you cannot import a backup residing in Microsoft OneDrive in the Veeam Backup & Replication console.

Lodge a complaint with the lease company so it has to go through the set motions and if you aren’t happy you can then use the ombudsman.

Laptop just will not boot and keeps displaying the boot manager screen. Have tried different RAM, put another hard drive in, still won't get past the boot selection screen. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Good luck with your new venture! :-)
