Im after some recommendations of unions for support staff. Currently im with one that I wont name but i dont feel im getting good money value for money. TIA

So these are school run clubs? Our school uses Sims for after school clubs. The club is added as an extra period and students allocated to it.

Firstly why does the school want to know this?

Had a call yesterday at 16:20 just before I was leaving and wanted 20 minutes of my time to answer a survey they were doing about school purchases. My answer was 'Im going in 5 minutes so can you call back another time'. Their reply 'Im only scheduled to call you today and need these answers' I replied 'ok thanks for your time bye' and hung up.

I normally ask the teacher to get the class to be quiet then use the sample music. In Windows 7 it has Mr Scruff and that one isnt quiet! Or i just use the volume as it normally makes a noise when full volume!

If only that was on the UK site! I was looking at camera gear!

This is what we do. Another school in the area do the above and have the student ring up on the day to confirm a time parents will be there. When I was in South Africa in 2016 with a group of Explorer Scouts a couple of them had to ring from South Africa! They then invoiced the school and got the money back for it!

Come and have a look at the offices here! We have filling cabinets everywhere for paper files. Some things need to be in paper format.

I use Google. Have done since they started it. Never had an issue. If you do everything in Google Drive it doesn't count towards your storage [emoji846]

Two of us here at different times so we cover 7:30-16:30 Generally busy times are up till about 9am. I finish at 16:30 but normally use 15:30-16:30 to do repairs/checks around school unless ive arranged with a teacher to fix their laptop issue. Here teaching staff seem to leave not long after 15:30.

We use Spiceworks to log all helpdesk tickets. A few weeks before end of term I'll get a note book and write a bunch of jobs in priority order. Then first day of holiday I'll start on that list. I'll date a new page and write up each job as I do it with notes etc. End of day I'll put it all into Spiceworks. Not the most high tech way of doing it but I'll go from one job to the next and saves me carrying a laptop around all day.

We have Impero on all laptops/computers. We dont actively monitor what anyone is doing unless asked. We do how ever use Impero to remote onto machines to do quick fixes for staff and students.

Theres a short stay pick up/drop of that doesn't charge. Its literally right outside the entrance doors Ive been there a couple of times to pick up relatives.
