I'm not saying your expectations are unreasonable I'm just stating my viewpoint on the matter and when they announced they were moving hardware to Misco they also said that over the next year the warranty service would be transitioned to a 3rd party. Ben
-
They announced they were pulling out of the hardware market months if not years ago now so how do you expect a company that no longer has a hardware division and made all those techs etc... redundant to be able to continue to service those warranties themselves? Therefore the only option is to transfer that side of things to one of the many hardware warranty providers with the necessary resources to support the customers. RM are moving towards being a software/services company as you've stated and that's entirely the direction they are going so I can't really how you see it as being all of a sudden. Ben

Well at least they are transferring it which was what was obviously going to happen and these things do not just happen over night. Ben

Still shouldn't have been taking the test on that car if you were unable to have the correct control regardless if it was a new clutch, old clutch or you were wearing high heels on the day.
-
Shouldn't have been put in for the test then.

Does the folder still exist on the server? I doubt it's gone just the folder redirection settings you've messed with. Ben

Check your view settings for hidden or system files. Ben

Have you tried deleting the desktop.ini file from a users folder and then refreshing your view to see the difference it makes? Nothing is really broken it's just how it's displayed in the file browser window. This is caused when you re-direct my documents to the root of the users folder i.e \\server\users\bob really you need to point it to \\server\users\bob\documents and then move thier documents from bob to bob\documents Ben

Virtual prototype in testing? so it's a video game? Ben

Sorry but you do have a choice in order to perform your job you need to be able to test safely therefore you need to organise within whatever budget is available to obtain some hardware even a single pc will do. There is plenty of choice for low cost machines from say ICT Direct that would do the job for you http://www.ict-direct.co.uk/computers/high-spec-workstations/hp-z200-refurbished-workstation.html Ben

abillybob please stop playing with your live ad like this I realise you thought it was in a test ou but this is really a very very bad idea. Ben

I expect in that case they are still routing internally via possible the same exchange server rather than obeying the mx record for the domain? Due to the fact the la mailbox still exists. Ben

Active Directory Reporting/Monitoring Software
plexer replied to wesleyw's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
There was an addon available that offered change management and it was available as an extra with software assurance I can't find it but I know luke @Millgate quoted me for it. Ben -
But seawolf as the op points out there are allready a ton of apps that can do this therefore plenty of prior art and the op was referring to small developers not the big companies ala samsung et al. You're obviously heavily invested in the Apple eco system but that doesn't make the op's points any less valid nor does it make your response so but lets have a good clean fight. Ben

Or it's just a setup for tomorrow? Lol Ben

IT Services company - Want to set up service contract
plexer replied to genesis's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
I don't think it's a case of outsourcing it's just having "experts" that you can get additional support from and additional man power for projects. Ben -
