  4. What you need is a piece of classroom control software that lets you put the users in to exam mode restricting them from running anything other than what the teacher wants and then you send them the test as a word file or whatever they complete it and the teacher collects it in and then switches them back to normal mode. 8. Now for the interesting part as I'd got all the info copied off using the knoppix cd I thought I'd plug it back in to my windows laptop via the usb bridge and initialise and see what happens next, thing is I didn't need to the drive mounted perfectly and is accessible. Linux magic Ben

  10. I can't remember the number of cameras now but it was more than 16 and saving data for about 4 weeks our storage was a 2TB drive as it only records on motion. If you want to record usable pictures at night you are either going to have to buy very expensive cameras with power IR light coverage or put in PIR floodlights. 14. There's nothing wrong with the usb on the fist laptop it's a brand new Dell I think the issue is just that I used to access this drive and it was formatted etc... on a different pc months ago with a different dock interface. Ben
  15. Before I left my old job I backed up personal files to a 1500GB Seagate drive in a usb dock. I've just connected it to a different usb to sata bridge and windows says the disk is uninitialized. Attaching it via the same usb to sata bridge to another laptop running runtime softwares live cd I can see all the data so I guess I can pull it off from there. I tried various programs on my windows laptop recuva, yodot, mini tool partition wizard, testdisk, pci file recovery but none were able to see the uninitialized disk perhaps if I had initialized the disk so it had a drive letter in windows these may work but I wanted to try non destructive first, once I've got the data off I'll try that too. Ben

  20. Some info for you: Buying and selling Whisky Privately Online – Whisky Times | Whisky Reviews & News If the bottles are sealed then it should be good but unless you can tell what the actual distiller and particular one is you won't get soo much for any of it. The homebrew tbh is probably best poured down the drain unless you want to sample it yourself. Ben
  21. Not really in this case as there is a big difference between turbo diesel and a non turbo and he was asking about the non turbo and lots of people seem to have experience of the non turbo's on the thread. Ben
