Never used it but it is cool and noticed our local Wilkinsons store stocks it. Ben
  3. If they all have to listen to is at the same time what about one of the infrared transmission systems that are available that'd be pretty sweet Ben
  4. Computers used in exams can always go wrong and if you want to use the equipment you already have then you did exactly the right thing by having spares it's not your fault the invigilator decided not to use a spare. Copying the audio files to a folder on the local machine using a GPP so you can rule out network issues may be a good idea. Ben
  5. PRM get's my vote too. Ben
  6. holy spondoolies £3k graphics cards Ben
  7. Occupational health should be able to give you the recommended products it's not really for you to go out and find them something. Ben
  8. I would go the other way and either put in an lcd with an auto filter or find the brand that offered the biggest filters possible and a lot of filter can be really silly and small. A filterless DLP is designed for normal levels of dust and not the amount created in a woodwork room. Ben
  9. We had a short throw one in a wood work room and it was terrible for collecting dust, you can get projectors with automatic filters and that would help. Ben
  10. Log it with HP there is a fault on some of these machines and they need a motherboard replacement. Ben
  11. @beepbop do you work in a school? for your first post this comes over as a bit suspicious so forgive me if I'm wrong. Ben
  12. Used to be shirt and trousers then it was company polo's and workwear trousers, now for new company it's branded polo's or t-shirt and trousers. Ben

  15. Last week I was at a customer and we were configuring a 2nd soundcard in a test PC but the volume level was very low when we realised that in the box for the PCIe soundcard they had bought was a small power lead and the manual stated the card would not work at all without this power cable connected. Trouble was it was an old style molex to what appears to be a floppy drive power connector, the PC only had sata power connectors so we took at trip to the local pc world and whilst they didn't have a converter they did have another PCIe soundcard that didn't need an external power connector. Never thought PC World would save the day lol Ben
  16. nircmd is the only way we've found to set the volume which is a pain in the butt. BEn
  17. $499 as early adopter on kickstarter so similar to all the others. Ben
  18. Strange that they asked you to try changing a part that they don't class as a replaceable part, lol Ben
  19. http://h17007.www1.hp.com/docs/support/warranty/HPNetworkingProductWarrantySummary.pdf Yup lifetime for as long as you own it i.e first owner. Ben
  20. Buy Fibre Optic Kits 6955 kit for fibre optic connector 3M 6955 online from RS for next day delivery. Fibre kit not a bad price really but that's without any testing or validation equipment, easier to buy pre-terminated fibre tbh. Ben
  21. Yes you need a single gang back box that fits in the trunking system you are using. Ben
  22. Looks good Dave. Ben
  23. Punchdown tool depends on the manafacturer you use panduit for example click together to acheive the same thing. I really like the panduit system you use the same module each end and clip them in to faceplates/patch panels as needed. Ben
