Backup exec to LTO autoloader. Friday full backup then daily incremental backups all to LTOs. All tapes taken off site for a week. Monthly backups are also done to LTO but then stored in the fireproof safe.

We did this today for the first time with 180 year 7's! What didn't help was our D-Link media studies nas "lost" an entire partition so most of our preparation was wiped out. There wasn't enough time to recover the data as the some of the sudents were working on the other partition. So myself and the team of year13 prefects were editing on Premiere Pro all day under the instruction of year 7's. It was good for the media prefects as it showed them what working to a real production deadline is like! Our NM was still uploading content when I left at 5pm.

Another method if you use Ghost is you could use Ghost explorer and delete the file out of the image and then recompile it.

The speculation is that Sony are saying it will be fixed in 24hrs is they are hoping it will go away when the date catches up. Some applications did the same on the 1/1/2010 and then worked again a day later.

As far I can tell, no, there isn't any way to do this through GPO. You could use a tool like Active User Manager which you can manually force the change. I think it uses dsedit to change the properties on mass.

Do you use electronic registers or paper?
ascott2 replied to reggiep's topic in How do you do....it?
We use pars, but have a variety of methods in which it can done, PDA's, browser or from their tablet. -
We run the network install here and have had no complaints. I think we have had 3 lessons of it at the same time and it ran with no noticable slowdown. We have the same issue with scratch, but the teachers have taught the students that the only way of opening the files is from within scratch. From what I can gather the only way to do it is a custom registry key.

What you could do is bring up command prompt and try to run the script from there, that will leave the command prompt open after the script has finished. Thats what I do for debugging.

Congratulations! Best wishes to you and the family!

I know you said that you did not want rely on the internet in an assembly, however rather than having a link in the power point you can still embed the object in he powerpoint and it still stream from the internet, therefore not breaking youtube's terms of service. Here is how we do it [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkELAkXjdG4]YouTube- Streaming Videos in Powerpoint[/ame]

We use Impero at our school for access to machines. The curriculum machines are unrestricted which staff are aware of. If we want access to admin machines, the user is prompted if it is OK for us to do so. This was after someone raised a similar issue with our old system which was completely unrestricted. It is a bit of a pain if no-one is actually at the machine!

Couldn't sleep last night, my wife is unwell, so I thought I'd nip down to tesco at 4am and so I picked up my copy and got a few hours play before work! This game is awesome!

I have the G1 and love it. I would probably say the main issue with it is battery life, but what I have been hearing it isn't much different to many of the other latest 3g smartphones. Android is fantastic, lots of tweaks and apps now available on the market,(paid and free). The camera also is a bit naff if you arent in ideal conditions, so hang on for latest hardware if thats what you are after. Otherwise Android is the same on all handsets at the moment so the only pull from one android machine to another is the hardware specs.

At Bluewater only a couple of months ago every blu-ray £9.44. I think its up to £12 now but still a good deal, in comparison to most places.

Our media students use Premiere Pro CS3 and Encore for burning. Premiere Elements will do most things though.
-
Can confirm it was down at about 11.20am here.
-
The battery life is OK once you get used to it like others have said. The camera sucks though, no flash or even little led, no zoom and cant handle low light. In optimal conditions its fine anything else it doesn't like. But I have heard that it is actually better than the iPhones camera so cant be all that bad.
